Step 2 Evaluate the condition of the specimen. Some fish, especially post-spawn fish, usually have loose skin which can fill out beyond the girth they actually measure.
Step 3 Choose your form. When deciding between two forms, remember that by going slightly shorter in body length you can actually gain in girth measurement. The opposite is also true.

The measurements listed are the actual measurements of the body. When measuring your fish before skinning you need to measure over the skin. Walleyes, for example, have a particularly thick skin which could measure as much as 1/2”- 3/4” larger in circumference.

Colors have a delayed curing cycle (soft erase) during which colors erase easily and after 48 hours cure to a hard matte finish. Illustration Colors are intended to be used directly from the bottle but can be thinned with 4011, 4012 or 4013 Reducers. Recommended for use with Sealers and when painting direct to a primer or substrate as 4012 Reducer allows paint to penetrate the substrate deeper compared to 4011 Reducer. 4012 Reducer is more aggressive compared to 4011. Reducer and can create seeding issues when used in excess amounts whereas 4011 Reducer is safer to add to paint in excess amounts without seeding or prematurely curing the paint.

The Matuska Taxidermy Supply Company will accept returns on all merchandise for exchange or refund, if returned within 30 days from date of purchase. All merchandise must be in original condition. We do not accept returns on forms which have been altered or damaged. Please enclose a copy of the invoice, as well as an explanation for the return. Customer is responsible for shipping on all returned merchandise. At the discretion of management, a restocking fee may be charged.
Returned checks will be assessed a $35.00 service fee.

Matuska Taxidermy Supply Company is committed to providing you with the quickest, most economical delivery method possible. Orders can be shipped via UPS, FedEx, SpeeDee or USPS. Regulations are mandated by the carriers and must be followed and charged accordingly.
For shipping, both the actual weight and the dimensional weight of your package will be taken. The carrier will use the higher of these two weights.
Large boxes over 5,184 cubic inches (formerly referred to as oversize) will be calculated as dimensional weight.
Dimensional Weight = Length x Width x Height ÷ 194. Our shipping department will be happy to assist you with your shipping questions and your best shipping alternative.
C.O.D. orders require an additional $16.50 carrier service fee.
