Treasured moments turned into forever memories
Crystal Campos-Juarez is a seasoned photographer, with a decade of experience in family portraiture and professional headshots. Her passion for photography began in high school when she enrolled in her first photography course. There, she learned the ins and outs of shooting and developing her own black and white film and photographs. Her professional career started at Classic Kids Photography in Hinsdale, IL where she was an assistant, before her promotion to photographer. After 8 years with the company, in 2022, Crystal sought out a change in career, moving on to a role in office administration, and became a mama.
Photography continued to tug at her heart, and eager to continue capturing joy and love of family, Crystal founded Tesoro Photography in the fall of 2023.
At home, Crystal is enjoying motherhood with her fun-loving 2 year old son, alongside her husband and 2 cats, Panda and Keanu.

Don't forget the shoes! Make sure everyone is wearing nice footwear, that is also comfortable to walk in, as we may be walking along a trail.
Professional Headshots

Maternity
Schedule your session to take place when you are approx 7-8mos pregnant

Consider a rusched dress, or long and flowy maxi. A white button up with jeans that can be left opened showing off the growng bump is very classic
A pretty robe or poncho can be beautifully styled as well to show off your bump.
Consider the undergarments you wear that day if you opt for showing off your bump.

Newborn
Schedule the session to take place withihn the first 5 - 10 days after birth.

Newborns are generally wrapped in muslin wraps for duration of the session.

If you opt for shoes, make sure everyone is wearing nice footwear.
TIPS:
Keep baby awake for an hour before the session
Give a long and full feeding just before leaving home
Provide a pacifier if possible, this will help with soothing
If baby has older siblings who still nap, consider scheduling around the nap time.
Dress baby in a zip up onesie or another easy to remove outfit. This will help keep baby from stirring too much when getting changed/wrapped.
