Nancy Pelosi Nancy Pelosi, a Representative of California since 1987, serves as the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. She is the second highest ranking female elected of cial after VP Kamala Harris. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Kamala Harris Her Twitter pro le biography says it all: “Vice President if the United States. Wife. Momala. Auntie. Fighting for the people. She/her.” With that bold statement, 2021 introduced America to it’s rst African American, Asian American, female Vice President ever. She is currently the highest ranking female o cial in U. S. history. Additionally Mrs. Kamala Harris is the wife of Doug Emho and mother to Ella and Cole. She hails from California where she has served as district attorney, attorney general and senator. Her initial plan of action in this brew role is to target the Covid-19 virus.
Jill Biden Dr. Jill Biden is the wife of President Joe Biden and consequently First Lady of the United States since January 2021. Though nonconsecutively, she is the rst spouse since Barbar Bush to serve in both First-Lady and second-lady roles. Mrs. Biden chooses to resume working as an educator and First-Lady.

About Women’s History Mont From womenshistorymonth.gov Women’s History Month had its origins as a national celebration in 1981 when Congress passed Pub. L. 97-28 which authorized and requested the President to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982 as “Women’s History Week.” Throughout the next five years, Congress continued to pass joint resolutions designating a week in March as “Women’s History Week.” In 1987 after being petitioned by the National Women’s History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March 1987 as “Women’s History Month.” Between 1988 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the President to proclaim March of each year as Women’s History Month.
