For our Community as we Marked the 5-Year Anniversary of Tubbs Fire

Together with our faculty and staff, Cardinal Newman and St. Rose Catholic schools Gathered with Gratitude on Sunday, October 9th, 2022 in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the Tubbs fire, which damaged so much of our combined community. Through faith, togetherness and generosity we have made a significant recovery and wish to acknowledge our blessings and thank all who contributed to our restoration. The restored statue of St. Angela Merici, shared with us by the Marian Sisters of Santa Rosa, was moved to the entrance of the two schools and honors our schools’ commitment to Service in our community.

For the Funding Necessary to Build our New Chapel

Our school campus will soon begin the site and underground work for our new Chapel! The site sits just north of our gymnasium, in the heart of the Cardinal Newman campus. It will feature 8 beautiful stained-glass windows, statues of St. Angela Merici and St. John Henry Newman at its entrance and a 15’ tall cupola towering high above all other structures on campus.

A very special ‘Thank You’ to our donors who gave generously to ensure our students have a beautiful Chapel on campus as we work to support our mission to develop our students in the fullness of mind, body and soul.

Keep an eye out for future updates on the Chapel project as work begins, with an anticipated 10-month construction timeframe.

For our New Student Life Center & Library – Opening Spring 2023!

What a wonderful addition our new Student Life Center building will be for our faculty and students! Our Curriculum Committee is busy discussing all the possibilities for learning and teaching in this new area which will include an Innovation Center, Digital Lab, Tech Lab, Learning Center & Library. Additionally, this building will house a new Café with indoor and outdoor dining, our Student Lounge, small and large work rooms for students and teachers, conference rooms and a new staff lounge.

Thank you to our CN Parent Association for hosting our faculty & staff at our Thanksgiving Luncheon! Each year, our parents show their gratitude for all that our faculty & staff do for their students by hosting a scrumptious meal including homemade desserts, appetizers and libations! Thank you Rick Bruno from Ricky’s Eastbound for providing the wonderful short ribs, mashed potatoes, veggies and salad! Our faculty and staff truly appreciate this wonderful tradition that has been marked ‘one of the best days on campus’!
