The Tepa Companies are 100% owned by the federally recognized Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians and take the responsibility to preserve and enhance tribal traditions and culture to heart.
/// Tepa, LLC’s Environment Services includes three companies: Tehama, LLC (Tehama), which is a tribally owned small disadvantaged business, and Tehama Environmental Consulting Services, LLC (Tehama ECS) and Tehama Technical Services, LLC (Tehama TS), which are 8(a)-certified, tribally owned small businesses. All three companies are Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) and wholly owned subsidiaries of Tepa, LLC, owned by the federally recognized Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians. Through Tepa, LLC, the Tepa Companies share a common administrative and executive management team to reduce client costs and improve project efficiency. The companies work independently and collaboratively to provide construction, engineering, environmental, industrial, and technology services, and deliver comprehensive and sustainable solutions to federal, state, local, commercial, and tribal clients nationwide.
As 8(a) small businesses, we welcome the opportunity to negotiate a sole source contract with the government. Under 13 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 124.506(b), sole source federal contracts may be awarded to tribally owned 8(a)-certified small businesses for up to $25M or $100M for Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. This CFR provision exempts contracts to 8(a) companies owned by Indian or Alaska Native tribes from the competitive lower dollar limit thresholds of other 8(a) contracts. This arrangement expedites delivery of the required services, reduces the workload demand on the government of executing another full acquisition process, and allows us to partner to optimize benefits to your organization.
