WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK AT TEMPLE SINAI

April 5-11, 2026 Passover Yizkor Service -

Tuesday, April 7 at 6:30 pm

Dear Friends,

We warmly invite you to participate in one of our upcoming Community Conversations, an important first step in Temple Sinai’s process of identifying our next Senior Rabbi. These conversations, offered both in person and on Zoom, are designed to explore our members’ connections to Temple Sinai and to provide an opportunity for you to share your perspective and vision for our congregation in the years ahead.

Your voice will help guide the Search Committee as we complete our congregational profile and rabbinic search application. Our profile introduces prospective candidates to who we are as a community, what we value, what we are seeking in our next Senior Rabbi, as well as help them determine whether Temple Sinai would be a good fit.

Please click the link below to review the available Community Conversation options and select your preferred date and time. We also ask that you choose a second option in case your first choice reaches capacity.

Click here to take part in our Community Conversations or scan the QR Code below!

We look forward to your participation in this meaningful opportunity to help shape the next chapter of our temple.

Warmly,

Friday, April 10, 2026 • 6:30pm

IN THE SIMCHA ROOM

Sinai’s own, author Joshua Greene, will introduce the film and facilitate a discussion.

As perhaps the world’s most eloquent witness to the Holocaust, writer and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel’s legacy would seem to be firmly attached to the singular horror that he both experienced and spent his life memorializing—the murder of six million Jews at the hands of the Nazis. But this poetic and powerful documentary reveals that Wiesel’s astounding moral clarity and his outspokenness against the indifference that humans can display to suffering are deeply resonant in our own time.

We are pleased to offer free copies of Elie Wiesel’s mastepiece, Night, a candid, horrific, and deeply poignant autobiographical account of his survival as a teenager in the Nazi death camps. We encourage you to read the book in anticipation of the film screening.

Register for the film and reserve a book at mysinai.org/soulonfire

Leket Israel: This is the leading food rescue organization in Israel. Unique among organizations serving the poor in Israel and food banks worldwide, Leket Israel focuses solely on rescuing healthy surplus food and delivering it to those in need through partner nonprofit organizations. Magen David Adom: This is Israel’s primary provider of emergency medical services. Donations will help put emergency bandages, crucial medical supplies, precious blood reserves, and much more into the hands of Israel’s EMTs and first responders. Click here to donate to Magen David Adom.

MARAM: Maram is the Council of Reform Rabbis working in Israel. Maram supports Reform rabbis, thereby strengthening and enriching the communities of the Reform movement in Israel and the Reform presence in Israel as a whole.
