NURSERY SCHOOL

CREATING LIFELONG LEARNERS

T

emple Sinai Nursery School is a licensed pre-school program that is committed to providing children with a safe, nurturing environment where they will develop the foundation for learning the basic skills that are a vital part of becoming a lifelong learner. Our staff has the tools, knowledge and educational background needed to nurture and teach two, three and four year olds.

We strive to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. Through a varied daily program, children are introduced to basic educational concepts such as letters, colors, numbers, shapes, writing and reading. The curriculum includes Judaic education and Shabbat is celebrated each week. Families are invited to “Sharing Shabbat services for children ages two through grade three and are welcomed as a part of the Temple Sinai family. We look forward to welcoming you to our school and getting to know you and your child. Sincerely, Debbie Neuschatz Nursery School Director

Reinforcing the Three R’s The underlying philosophy of Temple Sinai Nursery School is “Learning through Play.” The children work one-on-one and in small groups with their teachers to reinforce “the three R’s” – Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.

Erica Halpern Children’s Learning Center The learning center is equipped with a stateof-the-art Smart Board table, a puppet stage, a fully stocked library, a Lego table, and wooden blocks. All classes visit the center and enjoy the educational toys, games, puzzles and activities on a regular basis.

A Range of Activities All classes spend time on the playground (indoor and outdoor facilities). Children enjoy secular music with Matt the Music Man, Movement Class, Judaic Music with Miss Jaime on Fridays and weekly visits to the sanctuary.

Healthy Snacks

Physical Activity

Healthy snacks are provided each day, fresh water is always accessible and hot lunches are available every day. We are a NUT FREE facility.

A structured physical education program enhances physical strength, coordination, balance and team building.

Resource Room All classes visit our Resource Room which is filled with educational toys, games, puzzles and activities. Weekly visits to our library allow children an opportunity to “check out books and enjoy story time.

Judaic Learning The curriculum covers all Jewish holidays as well as secular holiday learning.

After School Enrichment We offer a wealth of after school programs for every age group. These classes are run by outside companies and are supervised by our staff.
