Sisterhood is excited to announce three major fundraisers coming up this year. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend.
Tuesday, November 29 -Fashion Show and Luncheon with fashions by Petunias Wednesday, January 11 - Mah Jongg Tournament Thursday, April 20 - Canasta Tournament
It’s that time of year when we ask you to renew your membership in the Sisterhood. If you’ve never joined us before, now is the time. Membership forms were mailed along with the L’Shalom Commitment letter in May. If you need another form, please visit the Sisterhood page on the Temple Shalom website for a printable copy. We are located under the Connect tab.
Our fundraisers and projects throughout the year, as well as membership dues, allow us to support the Temple, YESh (formerly known as Religious School), and the RAC teen trip to Washington, DC. We are a sponsor of the Federation Jewish Book Festival, run the only Judaica Shop in Collier County and participate in Mitzvah Day as well as providing the onegs following Friday evening services. We also support our community as the need arises, and a portion of the funds collected go to support Women of Reform Judaism.
On Tuesday, October 11 at 11:30am we will have our first luncheon of the season with an informative speaker. Several more luncheons are planned for the following months. We hope to see you!
Sisterhood’s monthly Book Bag group is going strong. We meet via Zoom on the third Thursday of the month at 1:30pm. The selection for August 18 is “Up from the Orchard” by Eleanor Widmer. Lynn Prosten will be the facilitator. If you’d like to attend, please contact Nancy Suslov at nisuslsov@gmail.com.
