You don’t just hear live music, you feel it. In your bones, your soul, your whole atmosphere. It connects you with others and with places you hear it. And when it’s local music, you feel the added power of knowing them, seeing them rise and calling them your own.
These are the voices shaping the sound of Tempe. They’re giving us the soundtrack to our lives, one original beat at a time. It’s how we remember where we’ve been and dream where we’re going.
So, if you’re ready to explore new soundscapes and back artists from your own star system, this is your launchpad.
This publication, created by Tempe Community Arts, highlights the work of locally based musicians. It connects musicians with event organizers, local businesses and others looking to book performances.
Beginning in 2017, Tempe Playlist has grown into a program for the professional development of musicians and for sharing their work with the community. Since its creation, Tempe Playlist has generated new bookings for a significant number of bands and artists.
The new booking list was created by soliciting submissions for 2025-2027 Tempe Playlist and is comprised of professional, established and emerging musicians and bands who perform a variety of styles and venues. The artists were chosen by a panel of Tempe residents and music professionals. The panel recommended these musicians because of their demonstrated professionalism, innovative approaches and range of styles.
