Good evening and welcome to tonight’s game versus the Bristol Pitbulls, the only game this weekend for the National League team, with a busy week coming up with a midweek fixture away to Peterborough followed by a full weekend schedule.
Last weekend we saw a frustrating performance at home on Sunday night, where we dropped a point in OT after an important win against the Bees the night prior with a strong display.
I can look at the home loss immediately after the game and feel frustrated and a bit negative about it.
However, once the emotions settled, I began to view it more objectively and shift my mindset. It’s just a bump in the road, there are no easy nights. We can learn from the game, the performance, and the result. With a positive mindset and a different perspective, it was still a 3-point weekend, having earned 7 out of the last 8 points available to us. We need to maintain that form as the race for the playoffs hots up.
