Good evening and welcome to tonight's game vs Leeds Knights.
Leeds are having another impressive season, with a cup win already under the belt they are chasing another league title and are in a tight race with MK who we will see in Telford next week, no easy games, all have plenty to play for!
Looking back over last weekend for us we had two crucial wins, with us having a find a way to win mentality, despite relinquishing 3 goal leads both nights
At some point that will come back and bite us, we need to be better at closing games out, something we have had issues with all season. On Saturday versus Sheffield, we were very clinical on our power play with us being four from four for 100% with some very well taken goals, giving us back the three goal advantage allowing us to close the game down from there.
On Sunday in Hull the boys dug deep, having to pick themselves up for OT after conceding with five seconds left in regulation to find a way to win tonight. A lot of good moments, situations and we seemed to be comfortable for the most part.
Hull came back in the third but we kept our composure, I thought the call on Hards toward the end of the game was significant in changing the game and in our view was never a call. We were guilty of letting them back in after not taking advantage of some great opportunities but ultimately for the job done in OT.
Enjoy the hockey
