The Fifth Annual Heritage Days was held throughout the month of May with the big of events happening the weekend of May 24. The Heritage Days festival is proof that all is alive and well in Gillett. The festivities began May 4 with the Heritage Days Pageant and resumed on May 24 with a spaghetti supper. The morning of May 25 included a pancake breakfast prepared by Gillett First Baptist Church. The Champion For A Cause 5K race was held with proceeds going to Dana’s House. The fun and games began with the horseshoe tournament with the baggo tournament, BBQ cook-off and tug of war following. Live entertainment was enjoyed through the day, as well as fun for the kids. Over two thousand people from all over Arkansas and several others states descended upon Main Street to celebrate the Memorial Day celebration among friends and family.
