Center Elementary Winterfest Music Programs will be held at MTHS, December 18. Times are: K-2nd grade 6:00 p.m. and grades 3-5 at 7:15 p.m. The Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) has announced funding for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) for the 2015 Fiscal Year. In order to be eligible for EQIP funding producers are asked to come into the NRCS office by December 19th and sign an application. Please stop in the New London Field Office and visit with Lucas Brass prior to Dec. 19th. If you have any questions call the office at 573985-8611. Ralls County 911 has tentatively scheduled a Grand Opening on January 4, 2015.

NEW LONDON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES The regular meeting of the New London City Council was held on December 8, 2014 at City Hall at 7:00 p.m. Those present for the meeting were Mayor Marvin Miller, Aldermen Adkinsson, Ballard, Powell, and White, City Clerk Millie Powell, City Superintendent Don Epperson, City Attorney Joe Brannon, Police Chief Brad Sanders, Fire Chief Jamie Quick, Jan Olson-Meco Engineering, Brian Lathrom, Donald Ford and Shawn Leonard. Meco Engineering addressed the council offering services and thanks for the past work relationship. Donald Ford made inquiries into the installation of Fiber Optics on First Street. Reports-Street and alley: preparing for winter weather. Water and sewer: The sewer inspections have been
received. Fire department: Building addition is in progress. Parade was a success. Police department: Body Cam in Place and Chief Sanders gave a brief demonstration. The black lab running about town was discussed. Zoning: A short discussion on issues for the Ad Hoc Committee to consider was held. Park: No report. City Clerk: Rates for the Sewer Only users on Northern Water Line was discussed as well as current deposits for Utilities. Ordinances will be drafted to set the rate for the Northern water line sewer on users at $40 per month and utility deposits for new users will increase to $150. holiday hours were discussed and city Hall will close at noon on December 24 and reopen on December 29. Election filing for Ward I and Ward II will begin at 8:00 a.m. on December 16, 2014 and will close at
5:00 p.m. on January 20, 2015. City attorney: A 30 day notice has been sent to Josh Smith Property on Main St. Megown property is still in progress. Mayor: Intersection at Carstarphen and Business 61 were discussed. Trees taken down at the park still need cleaned up. Bills to pay were presented and a motion to pay as presented including the addition of the bill submitted by Brian Lathram, was made by Alderman Powell and seconded by Alderman Adkisson. Unanimous. A motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Ballard and seconded by Alderman Adkisson. Unanimous. Meeting adjourned at 7:47 p.m. Next meeting January 12, 2014.
