Mauston man charged with burglary and criminal damage On December 26, 2013 the Juneau County District Attorney's office filed charges of burglary of a building/dwelling and felony criminal damage to property against 29 year old Andrew Arcuri of Mauston. On the same day Judge Paul Curran placed Arcuri on a $5,000 signature bond with the conditions that he not Andrew Arcuri have contact with the victim nor his residence in the Township of Germantown. According to the criminal complaint, on December 18th at approximately 4:59 p.m., Juneau County Sheriff's Deputy Cameron McChesney was dispatched to a residence in Germantown. Upon arrival he met with a female relative of Arcuri who stated that he had been at the rental property and caused extensive damage and that the power had been shut off. Upon entering the residence the deputy noted a strong odor similar to cleaning agents, and that the power was out. There was extensive damage to cabinets, drywall, doors, a ceiling fan and closets. A neighbor informed the deputy that they saw Arcuri earlier in the afternoon. The deputy made contact with the property owner who stated that Arcuri had called him from the residence at 3:24 p.m. that day. The owner stated that he told Arcuri that he was not allowed on the property due to non payment of rent. He went on to state that Arcuri sounded intoxicated and was wanting to know who stole Christmas presents from the property and who was the plumber who fixed the house. When the power was turned back on, the deputy entered the property once again and found a red stain on the floor in a bedroom which appeared to be blood. The blood was believed to have been left by the party responsible for committing the crime. Evidence was taken and turned over to the Wisconsin Crime Lab in Madison. During an interview with Arcuri, while he was in custody for a probation violation, the deputy noted multiple abrasions on his hands. Arcuri remains in custody of the Juneau County Sheriff's Department and is scheduled for a January 8, 2014 initial appearance before Juneau County Judge John Roemer.
