Greenfield R-IV Snow Make-Up Days Due to recent used snow days, Greenfield RIV School District will be in session on January 2nd, 3rd, 20th and February 17th, 2014. Please note that this follows the snow day policy on the school calendar.

Filings Remain Open For City Posts, School Board Posi ons About three weeks remain for interested citzens to file to run of offices in the local elections to be held in April, 2014. City posts are open in Greenfield, Lockwood and Everton. In Greenfield, residents will elect a mayor and two city council posts. To find out more information, check with the city clerks on requirements to file. School board positions, which are three year terms, are up in the four Dade County School districts: Greenfield, Lockwood, Everton and Dadeville. School boards have 7 members and you do not have to have children in school to run for a school board post. To file check with your school district about filing. The last day to file is Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Filing for federal, state and county offices opens Tuesday, February 25, 2014 and closes Tuesday, March 25, 2014. The primary election is Tuesday August 5, 2014.

Two Greenfield Men Injured In One-Vehicle Crash Photo and story by Cle s McConnell Vede e Reporter

Two Greenfield men were seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning, eight miles south of Greenfield on Highway 39. Miguel M. Munoz, 41, was northbound in a 2004 Kia Sorento when he ran off the left side of the roadway, overturned and was ejected, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. A passenger, Vincent R. Lara, 47, was wearing a seat belt. The driver, Munoz, was not, the patrol said. On the scene were ambulance crew members, Dade County fire fighters and two Springfield helicoptors. Both men were airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for

treatment. The vehicle was towed by Stop and Shop

of Mt. Vernon. Investigating the accident was Trooper

Robert C. Creasey of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
