PCCUA DEWITT CAMPUS STUDENT OF THE MONTH Cindy Papa, an Office Technology with Medical Office major, has been selected by the DeWitt Campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the National Honor Society for community colleges, as the Student of the Month. Cindy is an excellent student and serves the campus as a Student Ambassador. She admits that at first she was scared, having being out of a classroom environment for more than 30 years. The staff and students were so welcoming, and she felt right at home, and at that point, she knew she had made the right decision to attend PCCUA DeWitt Campus. She says, “I

could not be happier or more thankful to everyone here.” Cindy would recommend PCCUA to others because of the smaller class size. She feels it is a better opportunity to know the instructors and fellow students better. There is a great deal of interaction among everyone. She has one son who is an RN at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He is currently in the National Guard Reserves and will be continuing his education, and this has inspired her to do the same. Along with school, Cindy enjoys woodworking and painting.
