DeWitt PTA Holds Fundraiser By Shelly Faulkner The DeWitt PTA held a Corky’s BBQ fundraiser October 23 from 5-7 pm at the Dragon Football Stadium. All proceeds went to benefit the PTA.
Your Organization’s Help is Needed The DeWitt Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers from the community to meet at the back of the Leibrock Building, Saturday, November 1st at 9:00 am to start setting up our Christmas displays for our court square. Mayor Ralph Relyea has made arrangements to have community service workers to help us. The decorations are stored in the back of the Leibrock building, so we will need as many trucks
with trailers as we can get to make transporting the displays and lights to the various areas around the square and caboose easier. The more volunteers we can get the better! Our Christmas lighting will include the Caboose area this year for the first time. This Saturday’s work day will be to set up displays and cover landscaping with lights. Another afternoon will be scheduled for our “extension cord engineers” to route
electricity for the displays. The Chamber’s goal is to have all of the lighting ready to “Light Up the Holidays” the weekend of November 22 in time for the Merchants’ Christmas Open Houses. If you need more information you may call Darleen Frizzell, Project Coordinator at DeWitt Bank and Trust Company 870-946-3531.
