Junior Dragons Fall to Dumas Bobcats 0 to 22 By Dawn Teer
The Bobcats received the opening kickoff. The kick went out of bounds at about the 9 yard line. Bobcats take the ball over the left side to the Dragon 48 yard line. The Bobcats move up the middle to the 34 yard line. The Defense had their hands full with the Bobcat offense, but hold on they did. A holding call against the Bobcats set them back to the 39 yard line. Another Bobcat 1st down at the Dragon 13 yard line. A Bobcat touchdown on the next play. The two point conversion fails. Score: Dragons 0, Bobcats 6. The Dragons take over at their own 36 yard line. A flag on the play against the Bobcats for offsides. On 3rd down and short, Jack Hackney kept the ball
on a quarterback keeper and was met by the Bobcat defense. This brought up 4th and short, Jake Mitchell carried up the middle and got the 1st down. Jack Hackney kept the ball on 1st and 10 but made no gain. Boyd carried up the middle on the next play and gained 4. The Dragons turn the ball over on downs. The Bobcats take over on their own 47 yard line. A fumble on the play but recovered by the Bobcats. The Bobcats make it to the Dragon 40 yard line before the Defense can stop them. The first quarter ends and the teams switch sides of the field. The Bobcats have the ball on the Dragon 24 yard line. A completed pass brings another Bob-
cat 1st down. On 2nd and goal from the Dragons 5 yard line the Bobcats drive right into the end zone for a touchdown. A successful two point conversion. Score: Dragons 0, Bobcats 14. Taz Wilson returned the ball to the 42 yard line. The Dragons begin their drive with short yardage. The Bobcat defense refused to let the Dragons get through. On the next play, Jacob Boyd pushes through to the Bobcat 48 yard line. On the 41 yard line Dragons face a 4th down and 4.
