By Kevin Brown This year’s Christmas Parade was delayed due to inclement weather, which may have been the culprit of its lack of content. However, the participants involved braved the cold and empty square with an abundance of heart and enthusiasm. The floats on display were well done as they circled the courthouse twice and tossed candy to a handful of viewers, before exiting in what was less than five minutes.

Their unbreakable will should serve as a “call to arms” for future participants and demonstrate a depiction of true Christmas Spirit, hopefully inspiring us to raise the bar next year. Here is the list of this year’s winners: 1st Place – DeWitt City Nursing Home 2nd Place – PCCUA 3rd Place – Landmark Baptist Church Thank you to those participants and to the patrons that showed up in support.
