Food was available almost everywhere. The Kettle Korn vendor did a brisk business; stores had hospitality tables set up; and the Volunteer Fire Department sold hot dogs and walking tacos. Hootenanny Café had a day-long special and Java Jubilee offered coffee, tea and homemade baked goods. The holiday spirit was evident in the parade entries, many of which used a Christ-
mas theme. After the parade the children gathered at Santa’s House beside the Remembrance Tree on Main Street. Santa heard each and every one who waited in the long line to see him and gave each child a treat bag. The Remembrance Tree was lit at 5:30 p.m. and the crowd joined in to sing several Christmas carols.
