SWEATER DRIVE CONTINUES

Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive continues through November 29 at the DeWitt Public Library, 205 West Maxwell. All sweater donations benefit the Arkansas Salvation Army. Won’t you help a neighbor?

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

On December 8 from 2 p.m. 7 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 608 S. Grandview in De Witt will hold a Red Cross blood drive.

Dean’s Pharmacy

By Shelly Faulkner Christmas Open House was held Sunday November 23rd to kick off the Holiday Season. Local stores offered anywhere from 10%-75% off purchases, refreshments, and door prizes.

Some stores opened as early as 8 a.m. and closed as late as 5 p.m. to give shoppers plenty of time to shop at all the stores around town. All photos by Natalie Henderson

GILLETT COON SUPPER

The Gillett Farmers and Businessmen’s Club is currently buying raccoon for our 2015 Coon Supper. Raccoons can be brought to the old AGRO Building (across from the Rice Paddy) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Price is $1.60/lb and each coon must be dressed with one paw still on. We will quit purchasing raccoons after 600lbs. Any questions please contact John David Cover (870-509-1441) of Seth Place (870-830-2144).

DEWITT LIONS CLUB PANCAKE SUPPER

The Pancake Supper will be held at First Baptist Church’s Fellowship Hall on Friday, December 5 from 5:00 7:00pm. The cost is $7 per person. The menu will consist of sausage and bacon served with a bottomless plate of pancakes. Carry outs are available and tickets are available at the door.
