The Recipe: Lizzy Bronson 2014 Miss Arkansas County Rice Chicken Alfredo and Rice Casserole 10 oz. container refrigerated Alfredo pasta sauce ¼ cup of milk 2 ½ cups cooked brown rice 2 cups cooked cubed chicken 1 cup frozen green peas 1/3 cup red bell pepper ½ teaspoon dried basil 1 cup soft bread crumbs 1 tablespoon melted butter Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl combine pasta sauce and milk. Stir in rice, chicken, green peas, bell pepper and basil. Transfer to baking dish and bake covered for 30 minutes. Combine bread crumbs and butter, sprinkle atop. Bake, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes more or until heated through and crumbs are golden brown. Serves 8.
