University Professor Dr Sebastian Kummer

Head of the Institute of Transport and Logistics, Vienna University of Economics and Business & Endowed Chair Professor an der Jilin University Changchun, China

Sebastian Kummer started as Researcher and Lecturer at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar (1992 Dissertation (Phd), 1996 Habilitation). From 19962001 he had the Chair of business administration, esp. management of transport companies and logistics at the Dresden University of Technology. Since 2001 he is the Head of the Institute of Transport and Logistics at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). He acts as President, Director and member of advisory boards of many scientific and industry associations. He has been a Co-Executive Director of the European section of the MIT Forum Supply Chain Innovation (2006-2011). Sebastian Kummer has been a visiting professor at universities in Austria, China, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine and Vietnam. He has written more than 150 publications. His research focuses on Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management as well as on Transport Management and economical analyses of transport infrastructure and services. He works as a consultant and management trainer for companies and government bodies.

Stefan Putzlocher has over 20 years of executive experience in the premium automotive industry in the areas of Production, Research & Development and Marketing & Sales. He started his career within the Mercedes-Benz Graduate Program and continued in several management positions with strong achievements in changing existing operations, e.g. creating successful structures for McLaren Automotive logistics. Also in the United Kingdom, at Mercedes AMG High-Performance Powertrains, which develops and produces the Formula 1 race car engines for Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, he transformed purchasing and logistics into a powerful organisation. Back in Germany, at the largest Mercedes-Benz Cars factory in Sindelfingen, he and his team successfully drove significant efficiency improvement programs in the area of production and logistics. Stefan also achieved strongly in building up teams, processes and structures for logistics operations from nil to a hundred, e.g. for the green field factory of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary. Here in Hungary, he initiated, implemented and steered the 100% outsourced operative logistics to three service providers with around 850 staff members - the first time in this scale within the Daimler AG. Always an eye on the latest technology developments and an early adaptor and implementer of disruptive innovations, he was granted various patents in the field of logistics. Since January 2017 Stefan holds his current position, responsible for the global warehouse and facility planning within Marketing & Sales, Global Service and Parts (GSP), at Mercedes-Benz AG.

Konstantin Heppner is responsible for the Demand Planning team of Central Eastern Europe region in Beiersdorf, which is one of the world’s leading FMCG companies with brands such as NIVEA, Eucerin and Hansaplast. He started his career in Beiersdorf doing various steps within the supply chain organization and different country units in Europe and South America. Before joining the Eastern European management unit, he was part of the global demand planning team in the Hamburg headquarter where his key responsibility were S&OP roll-outs/audits in the Americas region and Western Europe.

Jorge Guillén Rangil Export Manager, Agroveco

Jorge Guillén Rangil holds the position as Export Manager at AGROVECO, a producer of animal-feed. He began the internationalization of the Company 10 years ago, when he was just 25, exporting currently the products in more than 50 Countries through the five continents. His biggest challenge is to have achieved the brand of horse-feed, EquusLine, becoming one of the Worldwide leader brands. The main elite horses, Royal Cavalries and prestigious stables from the Gulf and Middle-East are using this brand. This fast expansion led Agroveco to be awarded the Exporter Company of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce of Zaragoza in 2016. As well as finalist in the DHL EXPORT AWARDS at national level during 4 years.

After 10 years of experience in forwarding and logistics companies where Roman was working on different positions in sea, air and road freight together with developing WH and 3PL distribution centres he switched sides and joined the Studio Moderna Group. Studio Moderna is the leading multi-channel e-commerce and direct to consumer platform in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) with a vertically-integrated network reaching more than 400 million consumers across 21 countries. Reaching a market of 400 million consumers, Studio Moderna is unrivalled in the ability to drive demand and sell popular branded products to consumers across CEE through highly sophisticated sales, media, marketing and distribution platforms. Studio Moderna also owns the Dormeo, Octaspring, Delimano, Kosmodisk, Bigfish Folding Bike and other brands. With local offices in 21 different countries, the company has in excess of 5,000 employees. As the company grew in the last 10 years substantially not just geographically also in a business orientation (conditions on the markets force the company to change from primary DRTV oriented company into multi-channel strategy) logistics and supply chain needs to support its growth and all changes which have big impact on the supply chain set up. Roman was supporting the change from the beginning and in his current position as the Regional Logistics Director he is responsible to support supply chain and logistics on the local market and he is presenting the link between the central supply chain management and the local supply chain set up.

Jorge’s educational background has always been linked to International Business and Logistics. He studied his first degree in International Business and Logistic in Spain and Hungary, followed by another degree in Labour Relations linked to the international field. Later, he graduated in Dundee (Scotland) a Bachelor with Honours Degree in International Management. To finish, he accomplished a Master Degree in International Business in the University of Nantes (France). Jorge strongly believes an excellent coordination of logistic and supply chain is crucial in order to develop a sustainable and successful internationalization.

Zoltán Kertész is a supply chain and procurement leader who enjoys driving business performance through people and teams, building international relationships with partners around the globe, and resolving business problems in day-to-day operation. Currently Zoltán holds the position as Director, Global Logistics at HARMAN International and is responsible for transportation and warehousing services supporting HARMAN Operations worldwide. Before joining HARMAN, Zoltán was working for IBM for over 10 years, managing a team of Supply Assurance Specialists and Execution Buyers, responsible for seamless supply of new and repaired service parts to IBM EMEA service center and country local warehouses.

Gökhan Çakmak

József Vizsy has a degree in international distribution logistics management. For 15 years, he worked for the Hungarian Railways in different positions, from which for 5 years he was in charge of the international customs and border affairs. 26 years ago, he joined Avon, where he had hold different positions mainly working in logistics field. Currently he is the manager of the AVON transportation and customs department that is responsible to distribute Avon products to 7 East-Central European countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Montenegro). József has been actively working for the professional community of the Hungarian Association of Customs Affairs.

László Urbányi

Global Logistics Category Director, VESUVIUS General Manager, Raba Automotive Plc / Raba Automotive Components Ltd - Part of the Raba Group

Gökhan Çakmak currently is the Global Logistics Category Director at Vesuvius. He joined Vesuvius in May 2019 and took over the responsibility of Logistics Procurement activities globally. His area of responsibility covers central leadership with a focus on world-class logistics service together with outsourcing partners while ensuring complete satisfaction of internal and external customers through timely supply of high-quality finished goods and raw materials in the most cost-effective manner to Group Operations. With over 16 years of experience in logistics and procurement, in previous assignments, he worked in both manufacturer and service provider sides of the logistics business in the companies such as Oriflame Cosmetics, Delphi Automotive and Barsan Global Logistics. Gökhan holds a master’s degree in International Business Administration with focus on International Logistics Management from the Izmir Dokuz Eylul University.

László Urbányi was born in 1966, married with two children. He graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1990 at the Budapest University of Technology, after he took his engineer-economist degree in 1993 at the University of Finance and Accountancy, after he graduated in 2003 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in an MBA program: Management, Production and Quality management. He worked between 1990 and 1992 at the Csepeli Szerszámgépgyártó Rt as a design engineer, after from 1992 till 1998 at the GE Lighting Tungsram in different middle management positions. László worked between 1998 and 2003 at Thomas&Betts as managing director, then from 2003 till 2005 at Flextronics Enclosure as Assistant General Manager. Since 2005 he is the Managing Director Rába Automotive Components, in the meantime from 20082012 he was the managing director of Fehrer Hungaria as a second role in the company as well. Since 2015 László has been a member of the board of the Association of Hungarian Automotive Component Manufacturers.

László Galuska is an experienced procurement professional with more than 20 years of industry experience. He has held various procurement and supply-chain positions for previous companies and Jabil Circuit Inc. Throughout his career at Jabil he has gained valuable experience within local, regional global, multinational environments. Including accountability for price management, supply-chain contract negotiation, procurement process and tool development, favorable T&C negotiation logistics/supply-chain. The wide range of experience he has been possessing within procurement includes a focus on ownership for global solution management on all facets of procurement, supplychain and logistics. In his current role, he leads high scope value-add projects on local, regional and global level based on digital age requirements. Which includes startup platforms, digital solutions, new generation tools and process automation.

Dr Marko Budler

Hanna Hetenyi has 12 years’ experience in Indirect and Direct procurement in various industries with IT, Cutting and welding, Automotive and Air and Gas handling background. Each industry needs the support from the Logistic area on warehousing, contract management and Transportation. Logistic activities usually represent a significant part of the Indirect spend. This is her core business to handle. Procurement activity means for her optimization from a commercial and operational perspective, covering legal, financial, performance related and operational terms. Practically it means Standardization on transactions, Tendering process and rules, Negotiation, Automation in E-tendering although not skipping Face2Face discussions, contract management and maintenance. Nowadays the transportation market challenges the Procurement personnel. In order to keep the negotiation power, competitiveness of transportation cost, and sufficient quality level, being clear with market changes are essential.

Marko Budler, PhD is a full-time lecturer and researcher at School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana (SEB LU). He delivers lectures in domains of business models, co-opetition, purchasing, and supply-chain networks. His research work was published in highly-ranked journals such as Supply chain management: an International Journal, Journal of Management and Organization and Tourism Economics and presented at top-ranked conferences such as AOM Meeting, R&D in Management, TEMSCON, DSI, and AMCIS among the others. Professionally, dr. Marko Budler advises to Slovenian purchasing association and industry experts involved in project and research groups. He received a solemn award for outstanding doctoral achievements (2019) and a young lecturer-of-the-year award (2020) from Ljubljana University.

Excursion to the House of Unicum 1095 Budapest, Dandár u. 1.

Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the House of Unicum, to learn more about the world famous Hungarian Zwack Unicum, a liqueur distilled from over forty herbs from all over the world. Furthermore the visit includes a short film about the history of the Zwack family as well as a tour through the distillery and cellar, which spreads over 2,500 square meters underneath the distillery. And certainly visitors will have the chance to taste the world famous liqueur. The visit is limited for 30 delegates only and available on a first come first serve complimentary basis on the 24th of November from 16:45-18:00. Visitors can watch a film about the Zwack family’s and the Zwack company’s history as well which is approximately 20 minutes. The Zwack family’s fabulous reliques, - the more than 200-hundred-year old herb liqueur - the Unicum’s history and several extraordinary bottles can be found in the House of Unicum. Several curiosities such as an elaborating book in which the „fuel” ’s price - used at that time i.e. corn and rye for the carriage horses with which Unicum was carried to the pubs and restaurants-was written into, a special post card from the First World War, Ady Endre’s (famous Hungarian poet) poems to Mylitta, who was Peter Zwack’s aunt, a Swedish passport issued for Peter Zwack from Raoul Wallenberg. Visitor can have a look of some photos from the change of regime time reaching nowadays where the company’s latest success appears, a novelty in the world, the Unicum Plum. With the help of some photos visitors can get an insight of the launching moments of this delicious product and they can take a look behind the scenes as we show the Unicum Plum’s werk film. TRANSFER: The bus will leave from the front entrance of the Novotel Budapest City Hotel which is connected to the Budapest Congress Centre on 24th of November at 16:15 and will return after the visit at approximately 18:30.

ZNS is one of the four youngest European purchasing associations.
