Faced with unprecedented times – including measures never seen outside of war like the closing of schools and businesses – our resilience and community spirit has shone through. If the saying is true, that every cloud has a silver lining, mine is the way we have pulled together as a community. We embraced social distancing, not because we’re forfeiting personal freedoms but because we value the lives and livelihoods of our fellow Australians, our fellow Sunshine Coasters. We’ve been prepared to do our bit simply to keep each other
safe. As we side stepped each other in the street or clasped our hands to combat an instinctive handshake, we made eye contact, smiled and understood that we are all in this together. Being your elected federal representative for the past four years has been an honour and serving you is a privilege I take very seriously. But I have never been more proud to say

COMMUNITY AND BUSINESS (2019/20)
Ted delivered major infrastructure including: ✓ Construction commenced on the Mons Rd and Maroochydore Rd interchange upgrades on the Bruce Highway - $241 million of Federal funding ✓ Tenders have been called for the upgrade of the Beerburrum to Nambour North Coast Rail Line $390 million of Federal funding ✓ Construction was completed on the Sunshine Coast Airport’s new runway - a $181 million Federal Government concessional loan Ted also continued to lead the campaign in support of faster rail between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
