“I can do these events and take the boards with me,” she said, noting that her business isn’t exclusive to Evans Lake. “I can bring the board – ‘have boards, will travel’ – to Devil’s Lake, Sand Lake. I can go to them.”

Classes are affordable. “I just want people to come and have fun,” she said. At its core, this is what the business is all about for Stipe. “I just want people to smile, have fun, exercise and have community together – that is what was behind the classes like Morning and Mimosas – people getting to know other people and having fun.”

She asks that people try paddleboarding. “It’s not as hard as you think, and it’s fun,” said Stipe. n

Those participating in classes can rent a SUP for a nominal fee or bring their own. Participants need to know how to swim. More information on classes and other activities can be found on their website under FAQs.
