RED RAIDERS OPEN TWO GAME HOMESTAND AGAINST WVU Texas Tech will look to put an end to a three-game losing skid on Saturday as the Red Raiders open up a two-game homestand at Jones AT&T Stadium against the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Red Raiders are 2-3 overall and in search of their first Big 12 Conference win of the season as they stand at 0-2 in league play. Texas Tech suffered a 45-13 setback at No. 22/23 Kansas State on Saturday in Manhattan. West Virginia enters Saturday’s game with a 3-2 overall record and a 1-1 mark in Big 12 Conference play after defeating Kansas 33-14 in Morgantown.

Fans will be able to tune to the radio broadcast from the Texas Tech Sports Network on one of 38 affiliates across the region. Brian Jensen returns to the broadcast booth as the play-by-play announcer for his 15th season and is joined by veteran John Harris who will be in his 32nd year of providing analysis. Chris Level rounds out the crew as the sideline reporter and is in his fifth season. FLASHBACK Davis Webb became the first Texas Tech freshman to surpass 400 yards passing in his first two starts, throwing for 462 yards in the 16th-ranked Red Raiders’ 37-27 win over West Virginia on Oct. 19, 2013. Texas Tech scored 21 unanswered points after falling behind by double digits late in the third quarter to move into sole possession of first place in the conference. The win pushed Texas Tech to 7-0 on the season and turned out to be the final regular-season win of the year for the Red Raiders. Tech ended the year with a 37-23 win over No. 16 Arizona State in the National University Holiday Bowl. TEXAS TECH AND WEST VIRGINIA • Texas Tech and West Virginia will be meeting for just the fourth time on Saturday and for the second time at Jones AT&T Stadium. • The Red Raiders are 2-1 all-time against West Virginia. Tech won last year’s meeting 37-27 in Morgantown. • The last time the Red Raiders and Mountaineers faced off in Lubbock was on Oct. 13, 2012. The Red Raiders blew out the heavily favored and fourth-ranked Mountaineers 49-14. In that game, Texas Tech piled up 676 yards of total offense and got 499 passing yards and six touchdowns from quarterback Seth Doege.
