TEXAS TECH LOOKS TO BREAK SKID IN SKI COUNTRY Texas Tech will be in search of its first-ever win at Folsom Field this Saturday afternoon when the Red Raiders (3-3) take on the Colorado Buffaloes (3-3). Colorado has won the last two games in the series and posted a perfect 4-0 record against the Red Raiders at Folsom Field dating back to 1981. Saturday’s game will not be televised meaning that the only way for Red Raider fans to follow the action will be on the Texas Tech Sports Radio Network. It’s the second time in three years the Cowboys started 6-0, and the fourth time overall. Hunter, ranked fifth in the nation in rushing coming into the game, finished with 130 yards on 25 carries. He had been averaging 140. The Cowboys failed to score in their first possession of the second half for the first time this season. The drive ended when Bront Bird intercepted Weeden at the Texas Tech 26. A few plays into the drive Baron Batch fumbled and Jamie Blatnick recovered it for the Cowboys at their own 36. Two plays later, Weeden found Blackmon at about the Texas Tech 40 and the standout receiver ran along the sideline for the 62-yard scoring strike.
