WHO TO WATCH
ALLI MURPHY
5-2 • MF • JR Murphy enters this weekend among the NCAA leaders in assists as she has recorded 10 through just nine matches this year. Murphy, who currently ranks second nationally in total assists, needs one more to tie Taylor Lytle’s single-season school record of 11 from the 2009 season.
JANINE BECKIE
5-8 • F • JR Beckie recorded her first multiple-goal match of the season last Friday in a 3-1 victory over Tulsa. It was the sixth goal of the season for Beckie, who was named the ESPNW National Player of the Week two weeks ago. The junior leads all Red Raiders with six goals this season.
LAUREN WATSON
5-10 • GK • SO Watson was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, marking the second-straight week where the goalkeeper has earned the honor. Watson recorded her fifth shutout of the season this past Sunday in Texas Tech’s 1-0 victory over Memphis.
JAELENE HINKLE 5-4 • D • SR Hinkle, a MAC Hermann Trophy candidate along with Beckie, leads a Texas Tech defense that has recorded shutouts in four of its last five contests. Behind Hinkle and Watson, the Tech defense has allowed only four goals this season and just one in past five matches.
