RED RAIDER GAMEDAY is published each week prior to a home football game at Jones AT&T Stadium. It is intended to be an information source for fans attending the game. For the latest information on Texas Tech Football and all other sports, please visit us online at www.texastech.com. JONES AT&T STADIUM Jones AT&T Stadium Jones AT&T Stadium is located on the Texas Tech campus near the intersection of Marsha Sharp Freeway and University Avenue. Directions: From Lubbock International Airport - Take I-27 south to downtown, take Marsha Sharp Freeway exit and head west (right turn). The stadium will be on the left. From US Highway 84 - Follow US 84 to I-27 and head north (right turn). Take Marsha Sharp Freeway exit and head West (left turn) The stadium will be on the left. From US Highway 82 - US Highway 82 turns into the Marsha Sharp Freeway at I-27. Continue heading west until you reach the stadium.

Best Route To Travel To Campus Fans planning to attend Saturday’s game are advised to enter campus through the south-most entrances and avoid the areas directly around the stadium. Fans who have reserved parking passes issued by Texas Tech Athletics should follow the printed directions on the back of each parking pass, but please be aware of freeway construction around the stadium.

Parking All parking lots on the Texas Tech University campus on game days are reserved/designated for specific campus functions. Fans that have not purchased any form of season game day parking and wish to tailgate on campus, can purchase a parking pass in the lots adjacent to the United Spirit Arena. • • •

Free parking (non-tailgating) areas will be available in the lots just west of University Medical Center and Citibus will provide shuttle service ($5 per person) to Jones AT&T Stadium beginning three hours prior to kickoff. Citibus will offer the same service to the parking lots adjacent to the United Spirit Arena. Parking lots located at businesses around the stadium are subject to the parking rules of each individual business owner. Resident Hall parking lots are not available as they are reserved on a 24-hour basis for the residents in each of the those buildings. Additional ADA parking (once designated areas around the stadium are full) will be located at the TTU Health Sciences Center (4th Street and TTU Parkway). University Parking Services will operate a free shuttle to the stadium starting three hours prior to kickoff. ADA state issued credentials are required in order to park in any designated ADA lot. • Season parking is also available for purchase inside the newly constructed parking garage (Raider Park) alongside the Marsha Sharp Freeway across from Jones AT&T Stadium. Information on Raider Park can be obtained by calling (806) 742-GAME (4263) or by logging on to www.raiderpark.com. All fans who tailgate in campus parking lots are asked to allow room for cars to drive through all driving lanes safely.

Ticket Sales and Will Call Tickets for Saturday’s game against TEXAS are SOLD OUT. Fans who have requested their tickets be left for pickup at Will Call on Saturday need to be advised that Will Call will open at 1 p.m. General Will Call is located in the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office (North End of Jones AT&T Stadium). Fans are advised to pick up Will Call tickets early as lines get very long close to kickoff. Will Call will close at the conclusion of halftime. The student gate (Gate 6) will open at 4:30 p.m. while all other gates at Jones AT&T Stadium will open at 5 p.m. Scan-outs (pass-outs) will begin at the start of the first quarter.

Jones AT&T Stadium Security Security at Jones AT&T Stadium has been increased for the 2010 season to make Red Raider Football games a safe and enjoyable experience. The following is a list of guidelines to remember on gameday. • No video cameras, long lens still cameras, electronic equipment cases, backpacks, knapsacks, large bags (14”L by 7”w by 11”H), banners, fireworks, umbrellas, strollers, tripods, camera cases, alcoholic beverages, seatbacks with armrests or wider than 16” coolers, cans, bottles, wine skins, flasks or outside food/drink may be carried into the stadium. • All containers, including handbags and binocular cases, are subject to visual inspection. Patrons who refuse to allow visual inspection of contents will be denied entry to the stadium. • Policy for stadium scan-outs (pass-outs) remains the same but patrons may not carry items into the stands upon reentry. • Smoking is prohibited within the stadium. Those patrons wishing to smoke must exit the stadium through one of the main gates and receive a pass-out. • Fans are reminded that only persons with an issued credential are permitted on the playing field. Violators will be escorted from the stadium and will not be allowed to return.

Official Texas Tech Gear Red Raider Fans can purchase officially licensed Texas Tech gear at various locations around the stadium on Sunday. The official store of Texas Tech Athletics is the Double T Zone and is located on the bottom level of the east side stadium building. The Double T Zone will also offer remote locations on each side of the stadium before and during the game. Merchandise vendors who are legally licensed will also be available in Raider Alley (next to Frazier Alumni Pavilion - southwest corner of Jones AT&T Stadium).


Red Raiders On The Air Fans who plan on tailgating on Saturday can tune in their portable radios to the Texas Tech Sports Network on Double T 104.3 beginning at 7 a.m. Double T 104.3, the flagship station of Texas Tech sports, will offer extensive pre-game and post-game coverage live from their gameday set on campus. Fans are encouraged to visit the set which will be located in front of the Frazier Alumni Pavilion across the street from Jones AT&T Stadium. The network pregame show gets underway at 6 p.m. from the broadcast booth inside Jones AT&T Stadium. Saturday’s game will be televised nationally by ABC. The game will be carried in high definition with Ron Franklin, Ed Cunningham and Jeannine Edwards calling the action.

Red Raider Club Pre-Game Meal Join fellow Red Raider Club members at the Red Raider Club pre-game meal located inside the Athletic Training Center (large white bubble at south end of Jones AT&T Stadium). This complimentary meal opens three hours prior to kickoff and will close thirty minutes prior to the game. Join us as we thank “Danny’s Fins & Hens” for being this week’s sponsor of the Red Raider Club pre-game meal. The meal is served on a first-come, first-served basis - while supplies last.

PREGAME ACTIVITIES

The stadium club is for Red Raider Club members who have purchased club seats and or luxury suites in either the east or west stadium buildings for the 2010 season. The club will open at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

WEDNESDAY

Raider Alley

Volleyball vs. Missouri - 6:30 p.m. - United Spirit Arena Head over to the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday evening to cheer on the volleyball team as they host Missouri at 6:30 p.m.

THURSDAY

Midnight Raiders Join members of the Saddle Tramps in one of Texas Tech’s oldest traditions, the wrapping of the Will Rogers statue. Midnight Raiders begins at 7 p.m. each Thursday night prior to home football games. Members of the Saddle Tramps wrap the statue with red crepe paper so that it is completely red for the final day of classes and for gameday. Once the statue is wrapped, the traditional bell circle is formed and all fans in attendance are able to participate. The Saddle Tramps along with other Tech students then tie red and black crepe paper all throughout campus to complete the event. The Will Rogers Statue is located next to Memorial Circle in the heart of the Texas Tech campus.

FRIDAY

Hall of Honor/Hall of Fame Induction The Hall of Fame/Hall of Honor Banquet will be held Friday, Sept. 17, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Merket Alumni Center. Comprising the Hall of Fame class are volleyball player Lisa Clark, baseball player Johnny Grimes, and football players Marcus Coleman, Herschel Ramsey and Montae Reagor. The Hall of Honor class consists of a single member, the inaugural Masked Rider, Joe Kirk Fulton. The new honorees will be officially recognized prior to the football game the next day. Banquet tickets are $50 each and $500 for a reserved table of eight. Contact the Double T Association at (806) 771-4000 for tickets.

KA Kalf Fry with Robert Earl Keen & James McMurtry Texas music sensation Robert Earl Keen will headline the 2010 KA Kalf Fry, which is being held this year at the Lone Star Amphitheater. Keen will join James McMurtry and Elvis T. Busboy. Tickets for the concert can be purchased online at www.kalffry.com or by calling the Cactus Theater at (806) 762-3233.

The Zac Brown Band In Concert The popular country music group “The Zac Brown Band” will perform live on Friday evening at the City Bank Coliseum - just a few yards from Jones AT&T Stadium. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are available through all area Select-A-Seat locations.

SATURDAY Wear Your Red!

The most important thing to remember when getting dressed for Saturday’s game is to wear your RED! Head coach Tommy Tuberville, the players and athletics department is urging all fans to wear RED anytime you attend a Texas Tech sporting event - at home or on the road.

Volleyball vs. Kansas State - Noon - United Spirit Arena Head over to the United Spirit Arena to cheer on the volleyball team as they host Kansas State at noon.

Texas Tech Alumni Association Frazier Alumni Pavilion Pre-Game Reception The Texas Tech Alumni Association will hold a pregame reception at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion (located across from Gate 1 of Jones AT&T

Raider Alley is located southwest of the Frazier Alumni Pavilion and features live entertainment, merchandise booths, food vendors, face painting, interactive games and much more. This week’s live entertainment will be “Mike Pritchard, Mark Wallney & Hat Trick.” Raider Alley will open at 4 p.m. Raider Alley Vendors For 2010: Steak Express, Garcias, Kaleidoscoops, Freebirds, Fuddruckers, Campus Design, Caboose, Cagle Steaks, Dion’s Pizza, Chick-Fil-A, Varsity Bookstore, Klemke Sausage and Papa John’s.

RaiderGate RaiderGate is the official tailgate party for the Texas Tech student body. RaiderGate will be held in the R1 parking lot (15th and Detroit) and students must reserve spots in the SGA office prior to gameday. RaiderGate will open at 3 p.m. on Saturday with “The Kyle Clark Band” taking the stage at 4 p.m.

Raider Walk Texas Tech will begin a new tradition this season with the “Raider Walk” and Coach Tuberville and the team are encouraging all fans to participate each game day. The team busses will arrive on campus at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday and will drop the team off at the corner of Canton Ave. and Drive of Champions (next to the Dan Law Field Clubhouse and the front steps of the Lubbock Municipal Auditorium). The team will walk single file down Drive of Champions in front of Raider Alley, the Frazier Alumni Pavilion, between the ATC (bubble) and the giant Double T scoreboard to the football training facility. Fans are asked to line the streets beginning at noon on Sunday to await the team’s arrival. The Goin’ Band From Raiderland and the Texas Tech spirit squads will also take part in the Raider Walk.

Goin’ Band From Raiderland - Stadium March The Goin’ Band From Raiderland will start its march (Walk of Champions) to the stadium beginning at 6:15 p.m. The band will leave from the parking lot of the music building (located behind the Student Union) and will march in front of the library and through the engineering key before splitting into two bands at the ATC (Athletic Training Center). Fans are encouraged to line the streets for the parade beginning at 6 p.m.
