PLAYER TO WATCH #18 Freshman BRIANNA GRANT Middle Blocker

Antioch, Ill.

Antioch H.S.

Brianna Grant comes into this week having started in each of Texas Tech’s last three matches where the freshman has totaled eight kills and six blocks during that stretch. Grant posted three kills and matched her career high with four blocks last Saturday at No. 21 Iowa State. The Antioch, Ill. native moved into the starting lineup after her best performance of the year on Oct. 20 at Kansas State where she connected on a career-high five kills and four blocks against the Wildcats. After Grant came off the bench, the Red Raiders rallied from two sets down to nearly upset the 14th-ranked Wildcats on their home floor. With Aubree Piper out due to injury, Grant has rotated with fellow freshman Lydia McKay and sophomore Mikia Mills in the middle.
