Tech’s selection in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll is the highest ranking in school history. Tech’s last appearance in the top 25 came at No. 24 in the NFCA poll at the conclusion of the 1999 season.

LIVE STREAMING Texas Tech will stream every game of the Red Raider Classic that involves the Red Raiders online at RaiderVision All-Access on the school’s official website, www.texastech.com. The online stream will be offered free of charge.

RED RAIDERS ALREADY OFF TO RECORD SEASON After beginning the year with the best start in school history thanks to a 5-0 showing at the ASU Kajikawa Tournament, Tech added to its list of early-season accomplishments last Sunday. The Red Raiders won their 16th-straight game, snapping the previous school record set only a year ago in a 10-2 victory over Wichita State.

Powerful hitter who leads the Big 12 with nine doubles. Been reliable out of No. 9 hole with a .400 average and five RBIs. Smashed three HRs last weekend; second on team with .462 average. Southpaw who is 3-0 on the year following shutout of N. Illinois. Leads Tech with five wins thus far; second on team with 18 IP. Earned first win of the year against St. John’s last Saturday. Freshman is 5-0 already with 2.53 ERA after team-leading 38.2 IP. Primarily a reliever with her success out of the pen; recorded 1.50 ERA.
