RED RAIDERS LOOK TO SNAP LOSING SKID AGAINST POTENT OKLAHOMA STATE TEAM Texas Tech will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak and a three-game losing skid at Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday when they play host to the Big 12 leading Oklahoma State Cowboys. Saturday’s challenge will be a difficult one as the Cowboys own one of the best offenses in the nation and enter the game ranked No. 2 in both major polls. Kickoff has been set for 11 a.m. on ABC (Regional) with Bob Wischusen, Bob Davie and Shelley Smith calling the action. Fans can also catch the game on one of 39 affiliates of the Texas Tech Sports Network with Brian Jensen, John Harris and Chris Level.

2011 BIG 12 STANDINGS LAST TIME OUT: TEXAS 52, TEXAS TECH 20 AUSTIN (AP) - Freshman Joe Bergeron ran for 191 yards and three TEAM CONFERENCE OVERALL STREAK touchdowns and Texas used another punishing rushing performance to Oklahoma State 6-0 9-0 W10 rout Texas Tech 52-20 on Saturday. Oklahoma 5-1 8-1 W2 Texas (6-2, 3-2 Big 12) is bowl-eligible after missing the postseason Kansas State 4-2 7-2 L2 last year for the first time since 1997. Texas 3-2 6-2 W2 Texas ran for 439 yards against one of the worst rushing defenses in Texas A&M 3-3 5-4 L2 the country. Bergeron topped 100 yards for the second week in a row Baylor 2-3 5-3 W1 and Fozzy Whittaker ran for two second-quarter touchdowns. 2-4 5-4 W2 The Longhorns completed just two passes in building a 31-6 lead by Iowa State Texas Tech 2-4 5-4 L2 halftime. 2-4 4-5 L1 Texas Tech, which broke Oklahoma’s 39-game home winning streak Missouri 0-6 2-7 L7 two weeks ago, hasn’t looked anything like the same team in consecutive Kansas blowout losses since the big win. Seth Doege passed for 381 yards for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders (5-4, 2-4) have been outscored 93-27 the last two games. Texas played without leading rusher Malcolm Brown, sidelined with a toe injury, and leading receiver Jaxon Shipley who has a knee injury. It hardly mattered as Texas topped 400 yards rushing for the second week in a row and never punted against a Red Raiders defense that was powerless to stop anything Texas did. The Longhorns have put up impressive numbers against two of the worst rushing defenses in the country in Kansas and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders came in ranked No. 114 nationally against the run. Bergeron had 113 yards against Texas Tech by halftime. Texas scored on its first five drives of the first half and ran out the clock on the sixth. Texas has won eight of the last 10 meetings with Texas Tech. The Red Raiders haven’t won in Austin since 1997. GAME INFORMATION Date/Time: Location: Radio:
