NO. 10 TEXAS TECH SET FOR BIG WEEKEND AT HOME No. 10 Texas Tech returns to Big 12 Conference play this weekend, hosting a pair of matches at the John Walker Soccer Complex against both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. It will be the first full weekend at home for the Red Raiders since early September when Tech defeated both Sam Houston State and Portland State. The Red Raiders are a perfect 5-0 at home this season and an impressive 24-2 at the facility since 2012.

The Red Raiders and Sooners are set for a 7 p.m. kickoff Friday evening in what will be Tech’s annual pink match at the John Walker Soccer Complex. United Supermarkets will donate $1 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for every fan that attends the match Friday evening. Tech closes the weekend with a 1 p.m. start Sunday afternoon against Oklahoma State. The Sooners will be opening Big 12 play Friday evening as Oklahoma comes into the match with a 6-3-2 overall record. Oklahoma is currently receiving votes in the NSCAA/Continental Tire top-25 rankings. Oklahoma State, meanwhile enters this weekend riding a six-match winning streak that has brought the Cowgirls back to .500 for the season at 6-6-0 overall and 1-0 in Big 12 play. Oklahoma State travels Friday evening to face No. 16 Kansas in Lawrence before making the trip to Lubbock. 5-7 • D • SR Jenkins anchors a Texas Tech back line that has allowed just seven goals this season over the first 11 matches of the season. The Red Raiders have posted five shutouts already this season and will look for their fourth already this year at home Friday evening against Oklahoma.

5-8 • F • JR Beckie recorded her second multiple-goal performance of the season last Sunday in a 3-2 victory over UC Riverside. Beckie, who leads the Red Raiders with eight goals this season, currently ranks among the NCAA and Big 12 Conference leaders for goals heading into this weekend.

5-4 • F/MF • JR Heap is coming off one of her best performances of the season last Sunday when she scored a goal and added two assists in Texas Tech’s 3-2 victory over UC Riverside. Heap currently has three goals this season and a pair of assists to total eight points heading into Friday night.
MADDY CRABTREE 5-4 • F/MF • SO Crabtree has earned the start at either forward or as an attacking midfielder in each of Texas Tech’s last three matches. The sophomore has been close to a goal several times during that stretch, specificially last Friday at Texas where she totaled a season high five shots.
