RED RAIDERS OPEN 2012 SEASON AT BOSTON COLLEGE INVITATIONAL The 2012 Texas Tech volleyball season officially begins Friday morning when the Red Raiders face Fordham at 9 a.m. CT to start the Boston College Invitational. The Red Raiders will also take on Binghamton, Siena, and host Boston College during the two-day tournament being held at the Power Gym. TEXAS TECH ARRIVES IN BOSTON EARLY Despite not playing until Friday, the Red Raiders arrived in Boston early Tuesday morning to sight-see and practice in Boston College’s facilities leading up to the tournament. In addition to seeing the area, including several historical sites, the Red Raiders also attended Tuesday night’s baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angles at legendary Fenway Park. The early arrival was intended to promote teambonding by head coach Don Flora.
