NO. 19 TEXAS TECH HOSTS BAYLOR ON SENIOR NIGHT Texas Tech closes the regular season at home this weekend, hosting both Baylor and Iowa State at the John Walker Soccer Complex. Kickoff for Friday’s annual “Blackout” match against Baylor is set for a 7 p.m. start. The Red Raiders, who are coming off a pair of shutout victories last weekend over then-No. 9 Kansas and TCU, will then wrap the regular season with a 1 p.m. kickoff Sunday afternoon against Iowa State.

12-3-1; 2-3-1 BIG 12 8-5-2; 2-2-1 BIG 12 6-9-0; 0-5-0 BIG 12

Texas Tech will honor its six seniors - Jaelene Hinkle, Erin Inman, Bridgett Jenkins, Taylor Narvaiz, Alex Romanelli and Paige Strahan - prior to the match as Friday will serve as Senior Day. Narvaiz, listed as a junior on Tech’s official roster, will be considered a senior as she has elected not to use her redshirt season from 2013. Both matches this weekend will air live on TexasTech.TV with radio coverage also provided by KTXT 88.1 FM The Raider. Baylor enters this weekend tied with the Red Raiders and Oklahoma for fifth place in the Big 12 Conference standings as the Bears are 8-6-2 overall and 2-2-1 so far in Big 12 play. Baylor is coming off a 1-0 victory this past Sunday at Oklahoma. The Bears’ only other Big 12 victory thus far came Sept. 28 in a 2-0 shutout of Iowa State in Waco. Iowa State, meanwhile, will head to Lubbock after traveling first to face No. 15 Kansas Friday evening in Lawrence. The Cyclones, who enter the weekend riding a six-match losing streak, are 6-9 overall this season and 0-5 so far in conference action.
