SPONSOR FOCUS WITH OMNI PAY

In a conversation with OmniPay’s Operations Director, Philip Mostyn, he discusses the company’s plans to revolutionise the online payment industry. Furthermore, he talks about the company’s keen interest in Team BRIT and how the two organisations share a similar ethos.

How did OmniPay come across Team BRIT?

It was one of those chance occurrences where I connected with Mike Scudamore over LinkedIn as I did with other business professionals to understand the challenges organisations face in a post-pandemic world.

Mike mentioned how reducing costs whilst delivering funding for Team BRIT was always at the forefront of his priorities. Although a payments solution was not critical then, we discussed how Omnipay could provide a solution for revenue generation, and Mike asked if we would consider partnering with Team BRIT.

I was the first to confess not knowing much about motorsports. After learning more about what Team BRIT was doing and what values they embraced, I was immediately enthused about joining.

We presented the proposal to our board, and here we are.

What led OmniPay’s BRIT?

Well, it certainly helped that our Commercial Director, Steve, is a massive petrol head but that aside, it came down to the fact that our company missions were aligned.

The platform that Team BRIT provides for their challenged drivers, crew and staff is one of making a difference, changing lives and striving to be the best, and this is precisely the ethos that Omnipay wants to associate itself with.

Omnipay has it set firmly in its model that we need to be a gives back to its community, and if we associate ourselves minded organisations, that community will benefit.

How are OmniPay solutions contributing to Team BRIT?

Today, there are multiple means by which people can move money around, but they are not always easy and fast.

We know that many other people are interested in and support Team BRIT. For this reason, OmniPay will provide a QR code solution so fans can buy their merchandise, tickets, etcetera, by scanning QR codes placed on posters, a stand, and even the car.

A message about the upcoming racing events of Team BRIT and their aim to win Le Mans?

I had the privilege of attending one of Team BRIT’s annual events at a Daytona karting track and experienced firsthand how adamant and skilled you must be to excel in this sport.

Considering how they do this in a GT car for hours amazes me. They’re just brilliant, and I am confident performance at the Le Mans 24hrs.
