“I create sculptures for both indoor and outdoor settings, which range from small mantlepiece sized to large scale, garden and public sculptures. Taking inspiration from the human form and beauty within nature, my work explores the body in different forms, poses and materials, emphasising the integral connection between humans and nature. While I start my sculptures with an idea or theme, I also leave them open to interpretation by the viewer. My sculptures are either unique pieces or limited editions and combine the understanding, knowledge and love of a vast range of materials and techniques in bronze, copper, wood, stone and resins. For each piece of new work I start with an idea, but am open to continual exploration of materials to marry them with the desired form. The material informs the shape and finish that the final piece takes. I continue to develop my passion and knowledge of sculpture, materials and the human form. Over the years I have secured a wide variety of commissions from private and public clients, with work in galleries and collections across the country.”

LOOK TO THE STARS
Patinated copper, Bath stone plinth. Inspired by the feeling of freedom.

ROSE
Patinated copper.
Inspired by the oldest evidence of the rose from legends and poetry in Ancient Greece, where they dedicated the rose to the gods. One rose legend which particularly inspired me was around Flora, the Goddess of Spring and Flowers.

SILENT NIGHT - BARN OWL
Hand beaten patinated copper, stainless steel, oak heartwood trunk
Life size barn owl
After witnessing a beautiful barn owl hunting at dusk, gliding and hovering over the grasslands I felt moved to sculpt this majestic bird. I wanted to capture the barn owl coming into land and showing off its beautiful shaped wings, which it uses to hunt silently. Perched on a scorched oak trunk this references the dark silhouette of the trees at night.

RINGS
Bronze, copper and slate base. Also available in patinated cold cast bronze or patinated cold cast iron.

THE CRACKS LET THE LIGHT IN
