Jambo from Lamu, a magical coral-walled, bougainvilleadraped island off of Kenya’s tropical coast. Join us as we sail on a dhow (traditional carved boat) and disembark at the inviting steps of the iconic Peponi Hotel before wandering the winding streets of Shela village.

We began our partnership in 2022, when we met with staff from Elimu Girls and students from the Heri Sewing College in Malindi, Kenya, along with several local artists and fashion designers. Our design team taught a block printing workshop, then together we developed the pattern for our special Tea x Elimu Girls wrap dress.

Elimu Girls has opened an Artisan Maker Space where graduates receive support kick starting their businesses, learn new skills, get guidance from fashion designers, and collaborate with other artisans. Elimu Girls graduates also sewed and embroidered each of our collaboration dolls.
