Covid Update - We praise God that He continues to protect us, as staff and children have been around a variety of places and possible cases. We get anxious and concerned but possible symptoms turn to be fleeting allergies (Hallelujah) and fears were for naught. Keep the faith (in God, not in humans or your own efforts), keep praying, and keep sanitizing.
EXTRA MASKS: Parents, please…please …please to save the class from disruptions and you from making extra trips, please put an extra mask in your child’s backpack for those days when they forget theirs at home/in the car/etc. An extra water bottle would be a great addition! THANK YOU! FREE SCHOOL BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL, FOR NOW…: Between 9/14/2020 and 12/31/2020, or until money runs out, (weekends, holidays, and closed days excluded), First Lutheran School will be participating in an extension of the Summer Feeding Program, which allows our 1 – 18 years old students to enjoy school-prepared breakfast and lunch at no cost to the parents/guardians. We are also offering Grab and Go Bags for the weekends. For more information, please see the attached flyer and/or your FastDirect Email. PURPLE ARMOR OF GOD T-shirts came in & have been handed out. GRANDPARENTS DAY – We are considering splitting up Grandparents Day. Monday morning – Nov. 23 will still be PS & PK, but watch for more details about splitting up the buildings and doing double performances on Monday afternoon & Tuesday morning before Thanksgiving. Fallapalooza – Saturday, October 24 from 10-2:00. Keep asking your child’s teacher (& room parent) about your class auction item and your game work shift time (between 9:30-12:30). Please keep bringing us your little stuffed animals and small toys that we can give away as prizes. BOTTLED WATER: The Cafeteria is now selling bottles of water at breakfast and lunch for $1 each, but the student must have CASH to purchase them. Currently, they may not be charged to the parents accounts. Exact change is appreciated. Exact change is appreciated. BASKETBALL SEASON is approaching fast! The players and cheerleaders are working hard at practice and at recess. th A list of scheduled games is attached to this Chatter. November 13 starts our 5 Grade Tournament, and our first Varsity home games will be November 21 against Immanuel – Broken Arrow. Ticket prices for regular games will be $5 for adults, $4 for Sr. Citizen, and $3 for Students (5 and under are free). At the end of October, season passes will be for sale in the office and at the games, and prices will be $20 for Adults, $15 for Sr. Citizens, and $10 for students.
