No changes to report. Had a few more students go in to the doctor with possible symptoms but tested negative. Keep praying and staying diligent on sanitizing, social distancing, and vitamins.
FREE TUTORING IS BACK!!!! 2nd Grade and older, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, 3:30 – 4:30, 4TH grade room, beginning September 2021. This is not babysitting; your child should come with pencils, classwork, books, chargers, and whatever supplies they need to be able to do their work. FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH ALL YEAR!: Thanks to a Federal COVID-relief program, meals will continue to be free this year for enrolled students ages 1 and older at First Lutheran School. There’s nothing that you need to do; if your kids eat a school lunch or breakfast, there will be no cost to you. (If your children are under the age of kindergarten and you want the free breakfast, you will need to sit with them while they eat and then walk them over to class.) Breakfast is available from 7:40 – 8:00 in the cafeteria. Menus for breakfast and lunch can be found at www.fastdir.com/flcspc under the “links” tab on the left. The USDA and First Lutheran School are equal opportunity providers and employers. ONE- OR TWO-PAYMENT DISCOUNT: If you chose the one- or two-payment tuition option, your August payment is due on or by Tuesday, August 31 to get the discount. If you need help figuring your total due with the discount(s), please contact Connie in the office. SEPTEMBER 17 – NO SCHOOL / NO DAYCARE: We are grateful that we have the facilities that allow us to host other teachers from Oklahoma on this day; however, because of the magnitude of this event, we will be unable to have school or daycare on this day. We apologize for the inconvenience. THEME SHIRTS: This years’ shirts reference Colossians 1:15 – 20; “In all things”. They are dark green with orange, yellow, & blue lettering on the front, white lettering on the back. Stop by the office to see an example, or to purchase shirts. Order forms (attached) are due in the office (or the drop box out front) TODAY! BOXTOPS: Ditto BoxTops! We can’t clip them anymore; we have to scan receipts via the BoxTop app. If you would drop your grocery / office supply receipts 1) in the black mailbox in front of the administration building or 2) put them in your child’s backpack, they will get them to the office where we will scan them and then throw them away or return them, whichever you prefer.
