ONE- OR TWO-PAYMENT DISCOUNT: If you chose the one- or two-payment tuition option, your August payment is due by August 31 to get the discount. If you need help figuring your total due with the discount(s), please contact Connie in the office.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT AND PARENT ORIENTATION is Tuesday, August 25. The Cheerleaders have a fundraising dinner via BBQ Food Truck, “Big Times BBQ”, and you may pick up your grab and go meals in the middle school side drive/4th street cut out from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Tickets are available in the office for $8 for children 9 and under or $10 for adults or children 10 and older. You may also purchase meals at the event, for an additional $2.00 per ticket ($10 for children 9 and under, or $12 for adults or children 10 and older). The schedule for the rest of the night goes like this: 5:00 – 5:20 First Session (5th grade and down) in your child’s classroom 5:30 – 5:50 Second Session (5th grade and down) in your child’s classroom 6:00 – 6:15 6:15 – 6:30

THEME SHIRTS: This years’ shirts reference Ephesians 6:11, putting on the full armor of God. They are a vibrant purple with white lettering, complete with toilet paper zero’s on the numbers on the back. Stop by the office to see an example and to purchase adult shirts. We have sold out of student sizes, but will be ordering more, via the attached order form. Please have the orders turned in to the office or your students homeroom teacher by Thursday, August 27, so that we can get them ordered and back in a timely manner. STAPLES REWARDS ARE BACK! If you shop at Staples (online!), we need some numbers from your receipt! (Or you can do it yourself, of course.) Staples will give us up to 5% back to use on our school purchases, and we will use that to buy ink, colored paper, tape, etc., to help keep your costs down! To help us out, you can enter the receipt yourself, leave a copy of the receipt in the black box out front of the offices, or send a picture of it to me at lutheransecretary@yahoo.com and I'll enter it for you. To enter your receipt yourself, make your purchases at Staples and then visit staples.com/classroomrewards , create an account, and donate it in my name (Connie Erickson) via First Lutheran (I promise, the money goes to the school...not me!), or you can enter it in your teachers’ name if they have signed up on their own. Either way, First Lutheran School will benefit from your purchase, and hopefully it will add up to perhaps a free ink cartridge, ream of colored paper, etc. If you have any questions, just give me a call or stop by the office. Thanks so much! Also, as always, we are collecting used ink and toner cartridges. For every 20 we turn in, we get a credit on our Staples purchases.
