And now, it’s time for the CARDINAL SHOUTOUT; a place for us to recognize how talented and diversified our students are!
Congratulations to this years’ PCPS 2019 Graduating Class. We are extra proud of all of our students, as we send extra special congratulations to the Top 10, including 3 of our own: Priya Patel, FLC&S 2 years 2014-15; Hogan Watts, FLC&S 7 years 2008-14; And Salutatorian Shae Burden, FLC&S 8 years, 2008-15. More congratulations to PCPS Senior Class Student Council Officers: Morgan Didlake, President, FLS 2 years (2014-2015); Grant Jackson, Historian, FLS 9 years (2009-2016); Jamison Doornbos, Secretary, FLS 4 years (2012-2015); and Kale Gilbert, Treasurer, FLS 9 years (2008-2016). Not graduating from high school, but competing in a Taekwondo tournament and taking first place in breaking, Sumo fighting, and stick fighting was Kelby Grimes in 4th Grade. Another student making headlines recently is 3rd Grader Kinley Brown who entered artwork into a contest and won 1st place, Grade 3, Group 2 Poster with the D.A.R. Southwest Division-JAC Art Contest, 1st place, 3rd Grade Poster for the Aloha Chapter NSDAR AND the Hawaii State Organization, NSDAR, and National Winner Honorable Mention for Art Poster Third Grade. The ELEMENTARY MUSICAL is THIS Friday, May 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the gym. All elementary students Kindergarten – 5th grade have been preparing for this production and can’t wait to share it with you! Children K-4th grade, please wear church clothes to the performance. 5th grade will be in costumes. There will be a concession stand available, so send/bring $! LIBRARY: This is the last week to check out books. Start looking in the car, under the bed, between the sofa cushions, etc. for lost books. You will need to pay for/replace any missing books before you can pick up report cards. FREE SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM: First Lutheran School is participating in the summer lunch program this summer. Children 18 and under will be provided a FREE lunch in the FLS Cafeteria Monday through Friday, from 11:30 to 12:30, May 28 to August 9, 2019, closed July 4 and August 6, 2019. The cost for adult meals will be $4.00; Senior citizens & military adults with identification will be charged $3.50. If you’re getting together with friends, stop in here for lunch -1-
