MINI CHEER ENROLLMENT DUE TOMORROW!: Mini cheer registration deadline is tomorrow! Fill out the attached form and bring/send to the office with your payment. Clinic dates will be Monday, Jan 13 - Wednesday, Jan 15. Performance will be Thursday, Jan 16 at the FLS vs. Woodlands BOYS game. Please see the attached flyer for more info. 2-PAYMENT TUITION REMINDER: If you opted to pay your tuition for the year in two payments, the second half payment is due on or before January 31. If you need to switch to a monthly plan for the second semester, please contact the office and let us know. SPIRIT GEAR: First Lutheran Cheerleaders have a few extra FLS hats on order $20 (limited sizes and quantities). Contact Jennifer Heitman or the school office if you’re interested in purchasing one. Y.A.L.L.: The “Young-ish adults living life” group meets every Thursday evening from 7-8 in the youth house. We are currently doing a video series of an “outsider visits the Lutheran church”. SANTA TICKET GIVEAWAY: Thanks to all of your donations, we had 2,658 tickets. While we did get within 1,000 on several of the tickets drawn, we did NOT have a winning ticket. Thank you, though, to everyone who contributed their tickets to the school. We’ll try again next year! Theron King, Mark Sanders, the middle school students in the Christmas Light Elective, and many other students and adults helped to make “Lights at Lutheran” a success this year. Due to your generosity of time and effort, Lights at Lutheran raised $130.60 to assist in providing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to those in need of a meal. TAX WRITE-OFF: Businesses (and individuals) can get a BIG state and federal tax write off by contributing to the Oklahoma Scholarship Fund. Check it out at www.osfkids.org. Please pick us and we can help A LOT of kids!!! SCHOOL OFFICE—TAX STATEMENTS: If you would like a printout of your payments to First Lutheran during 2017 for tax purposes, you can print them off by logging into your FastDirect account, click on the “finances” button on the top, click on “tax report” on the left-hand side, then choose the year you want and click on “Tax Year Printout”. It will bring up a page to print with your payments to First Lutheran categorized and totaled, and it will have our Federal Tax I.D. number on the top. Alternatively, you can request a tax statement from the office by calling 580-762-9950 or sending a FastDirect email to Connie Erickson. This will include school-related expenses only; summer daycare tax statements must be requested by sending a FastDirect email to Heidi Daley or calling daycare at 580-762-1124. Not all payments to FLS are tax deductible, and you should contact a tax advisor to find out what can be written off, and what cannot. PRINCIPAL – Mr. Birnbaum: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to 2020.
