I pray that you all had a safe and healthy Christmas break. Please keep your child home for a few days if they have fever, sore throat, fatigue, or headaches. And now, it’s time for the CARDINAL SHOUTOUT; a place for us to recognize how talented and diversified our students are! Congratulations to Mea Matthiesen, Micah Self, Reese Andrews, Rhett Brand, Kinley Brown, and Jack Kinkaid for qualifying to represent their class and First Lutheran School in the Elks Hoop Shoot! MASKS!: We know, but…at least for now…PLEASE send your child to school in a mask for the next few days. (They should always have 2 masks with them in their backpack; the 2nd is in case the one they are using breaks or gets misplaced.) PLEASE PLEASE let us know AND keep them at home if your student has symptoms of the COVID variant: cough, sore throat, fever, muscular pain, mucus, and headache. Also, please keep us informed of any positive COVID test results. If your student has had the COVID vaccination, please send a picture of their vaccination card to lutheransecretary@yahoo.com . As always, please pray that God will lead us in the direction that we should go. 2-PAYMENT TUITION REMINDER: If you opted to pay your tuition for the year in two payments, the second half payment is due MONDAY, January 31; after that date, the applied discount will be removed from your account. Please contact the office if you want to change plans. PONCA CITY SANTA TICKET GIVEAWAY: We were within a thousand SEVERAL times; we didn’t win, but we were closer, more times than prior years! FLS NIGHT AT PO-HI BASKETBALL!: Each school student will come home next week with a free ticket to the January 11 (Tuesday) games at Po-Hi. Game times begin at 6:30 and are at the Robson FieldHouse. Please wear a FLS shirt and cheer the Wildcats to victory! CARDINAL CARE DAYCARE – Ms. Vap: We are excited to announce that our Daycare is transitioning to its’ new name of “Cardinal Care”! Watch for more details about this re-branding in the near future! We will have sign-up sheets out this week, for daycare on Friday, January 14th and Monday, January 17th. Please sign-up if you need “Cardinal Care” on those days that we are out of school! Mr. Birnbaum: Happy New Year!
