ABSTRACT

2015 PAINTINGS (1) Dear Reader,

This is book one (1) of the Abstract 2015 Paintings’ books.

There are 10 acrylic paintings in this e-book. They are in reality abstract color sketches. There were almost a hundred of these paintings in this batch and I chose the top twenty for the two e-books.

Sometimes you get lucky and come up with something alluring and it’s like a miniature abstract painting; it can simply be that it is in balance or that it plays with space in an interesting way.

One tries to make it work in terms of line, color and composition.

These sketches were mostly done when I was working on larger paintings, usually at the end of a painting session. They were done on A4 sketch book paper. They’re a lot of fun to do because I’m not trying to do anything special.

Now it’s for you to decide how these paintings affect you. Art is very personal and everyone has the right to their own opinion. Please don’t hold back your criticism in what ever form it might take and if you like, let us know what you think.
