Levi will become a bar mitzvah on August 7, 2021. Levi is the son of Lance & Jeannie Solomon and brother of Ayla. He is the grandson of Anna & Hugh (z”l) Teweles, Doris & Allen Mannies, Bert & Sandy Shaw, and Bart Solomon (z”l) & Sharon Rogow. Levi will be an 8th grader at Hamilton International Middle School. He loves all sports and plays on both select baseball and soccer teams. He also enjoys going to school and learning, playing the drums, swimming in Seattle’s lakes, biking, skiing, and spending time with his friends, family, and, Blossom, his dog. For his mitzvah project, Levi will volunteer at the Ballard Food Bank.
EVIE SCHWARTZ
Evie will become a bat mitzvah on August 14, 2021. Evie is the daughter of Pamela and Seth Schwartz and sister of Kirin. She is the granddaughter of Alan & Ilsa Schwartz and Penny & Jack Frick. Evie will be an 8th grader at Washington Middle School. She enjoys cuddling kittens, swimming, reading, and hanging out with her friends. For her mitzvah project, Evie fundraised over $3000 for the Seattle Humane Society.
EZRA SPITZER
Ezra will become a bar mitzvah on August 7, 2021. Ezra is the son of Gabriel Spitzer & Ashley Gross and brother of Oliver. He is the grandson of John & Cheryl Spitzer and Michael & Andrea Gross. Ezra is entering 8th grade at Madison Middle School in West Seattle. He enjoys playing video games, reading, indoor bouldering, bike riding, and spending time with friends. For his mitzvah project, Ezra raised money for childhood cancer research through lemonade stands, benefiting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
TYLER RUBENSTEIN
Tyler will become a bar mitzvah on August 21, 2021. Tyler is the son of Eileen & David Rubenstein and the brother of Matthew and Jacob. He is the grandson of Carol Rubenstein & Julian Rubenstein (z”l) and Ruth King & Leonard King (z”l). Tyler will be a 9th grader at Liberty High School. He plays soccer for PacNW and loves the Sounders and reading. For his Mitzvah Project, Tyler is volunteering with Purrfect Pals, a non-profit agency to adopt kittens.
LILAH KENNEDY
Lilah will become a bat mitzvah on August 14, 2021. Lilah is the daughter of Ilana & Jon Kennedy and the sister of Erez. She is the granddaughter of Geri & Ray Dubé, Gary & Karen Cone, and Dana & Tom Kennedy. Lilah will be an 8th grader at Madison Middle School. Her favorite activities are horseback riding and biking with friends. For her mitzvah project, Lilah will be collecting and contributing needed items to SAFE, a local horse rescue.
GINGER SCHWARTZ
Ginger will become a bat mitzvah on August 21, 2021. Ginger is the daughter of Drs. Heather Kramm & Darren Schwartz and the sister of Ava & Quincy. She is the granddaughter of Jo-Ann Schwartz and Bob & Sonia Kramm. Ginger will be a 7th grader at Islander Middle School. She enjoys volleyball, singing, dancing, water sports, and BB Camp. For her mitzvah project, Ginger is helping with a food drive and fundraising for the Seattle Humane Society.
CHARLIE ALHADEFF
Charlie will become a bar mitzvah on August 28, 2021. Charlie is the son of Aaron & Emily Alhadeff and brother to Max and dog, Chip. He is the grandson to Diane & Dennis Warshal, Janet Abrams & Steve Pruzan, and Marleen & Kenny Alhadeff. Charlie will be a 7th grader at The Bush School. He enjoys playing soccer, watching football, hanging out with friends, watching YouTube, and playing video games. For his mitzvah project, Charlie is working with Jewish Family Service to provide sports equipment to resettled refugee families.
SYDNEY PARCEL
Sydney will become a bat mitzvah on September 11, 2021. Sydney is the daughter of Carin & Andrew Parcel and sister of Liam and Dylan. She is the granddaughter of Zoë & Carl Riekes, Judy Carroll, and Randy Parcel. Sydney will be an 8th grader at Islander Middle School. She enjoys volleyball, tennis, photography, and reading. Sydney is still deciding on what she wants to do for her mitzvah project.
ZACHARY LEWIS
Zachary will become a bar mitzvah on September 4, 2021. Zachary is the son of Marcie & Andrew Lewis and the brother of Jadyn. He is the grandson of Jan & Steven Lewis and Roberta & Jeff Miller. Zachary will be a 7th grader at Cougar Mountain Middle School. He enjoys lacrosse, football, video games, traveling, and hanging out with friends. For his mitzvah project, Zachary made blessing bags, kept them in the car, and handed them out as needed.
ROBBIE MORRIS
Robbie will become a bar mitzvah on September 18, 2021. Robbie is the son of Lisa & Ian Morris and brother of Hannah and Kaylee. He is the grandson of Renée & David Morris and Anita Skop. Robbie will be entering 8th grader at the Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences. He enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and gaming. For his mitzvah project, Robbie is training to help raise dogs with Guide Dogs for the Blind.
RINA MILLER
Rina will become a bat mitzvah on September 4, 2021. Rina is the daughter of Corey & Katherine Miller and the sister of Gabriella & Bella. She is the granddaughter of Rabbi Jay & Elise Miller and Gregory & Eugenya Zinger. Rina will be an 8th grader at The Jewish Day School. She enjoys drawing, baking, spending time with friends and family, and her cat Minou. She is a swimmer on the Seattle Synchro Team. For her mitzvah project, Rina is creating stickers and greeting cards for kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
EMMA SIDELL
Emma will become a bat mitzvah on September 18, 2021. Emma is the daughter of Beth & Mike Sidell and the sister of Nate. She is the granddaughter of Elaine & Michael Weinstein and Karen & Bruce Sidell. Emma will be a 7th grader at Cougar Mountain Middle School. She enjoys art, dancing, baking, and roller skating. For her mitzvah project, Emma is volunteering with her grandmother who manages the Herzl Memorial Park Cemetery.
SIENA ROUSSO
Siena will become a bat mitzvah on September 25, 2021. Siena is the daughter of Leslie & Marc Rousso and the sister of Lee. She is the granddaughter of Cecille Shtabsky and Denise Rousso. Siena will be an 8th grader at Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences. She enjoys baking and playing volleyball. For her mitzvah project, Siena is raising money for families who can’t afford a scoliosis brace.
SETH GREENLICK-SEXTON
Seth will become a bar mitzvah on September 25, 2021. Seth is the son of Shana Greenlick & Scott Sexton and brother of Sadie. He is the grandson of Bobbie & Cliff Greenlick and Karen & Jim Sexton. Seth will be a 7th grader at McKnight Middle School. He excels at playing computer games with his friends, knowing interesting random facts, engaging with his teachers, and loving his parents and sister. For his mitzvah project, Seth and his father cleaned up local lakes, rivers, and ponds of debris and litter that could be harmful to the environment.
DYLAN FINKELMAN
Dylan will become a bar mitzvah on October 2, 2021. Dylan is the son of Carly Kaufman & Peter Finkelman and brother of Henry. He is the grandson of Jeanie Alhadeff, Lois & Ross Finkelman, Harry Caraco, Molly Bennett-Kaufman & Mark Kaufman (z”l). Dylan will be a 7th grader at The Bush School. He enjoys tennis, skiing, mountain biking, playing bass guitar, ultimate frisbee, and soccer. For his mitzvah project, Dylan will be harvesting produce for FareStart.
DAVID HOUGHTON
David will become a bar mitzvah on October 2, 2021. David is the son of Debbie Shapiro & Simon Houghton and brother to Jacob & Shoshana Glickman and Baxter Houghton. He is the grandson of Sanford & Michaele Shapiro. David will be a freshman at the Science and Math Institute in Tacoma. He enjoys playing a wide variety of sports, including basketball and baseball, and he has thrown shot put for his track team. David also likes reading Manga and his favorite time is when he is away at Camp Kalsman with his Jewish friends. For his mitzvah project, David is working towards developing a trash cleanup at local beaches and in the alleys around Tacoma.
GRACE CLARK
Grace will become a bat mitzvah on October 2, 2021. Grace is the daughter of Hope Clark-Bell & Matt Bell and Matt Clark & Jessica Clark, and sister of Calvin & Lucie. She is the granddaughter of Marni Bell, Marsha Clark, and Danielle Austin. Grace will be a 6th grader at Odle Middle School. She enjoys Minecraft, painting, hiking, and doing crafts. Grace is still deciding on what she wants to do for her mitzvah project.
GEORGIA GOLDSTEIN
Georgia will become a bat mitzvah on October 9, 2021. Georgia is the daughter of Gary Goldstein & Cindy Randall and the sister of Samantha & Charlotte. She is the granddaughter of Roberta & Greg Geske, Sanford Goldstein (z”l) & Sharon Goldstein, and Bob & Mary Randall. Georgia will be an 8th grader at SAAS. Georgia loves lacrosse and plays for multiple clubs, school, and rec teams. Georgia also enjoys art, piano, singing, dance, astronomy, and the beach. For her mitzvah project, Georgia is working with Treehouse to support Seattle youth.
ISAIAH KOPELOVICH
Isaiah (Zay) will become a bar mitzvah on October 16, 2021. Zay is the son of Rachel Weissman & Jonathan Kopelovich and the brother of Asher & Ora. He is the grandson of Marilyn & Wayne Weissman and Lenore & Levy Kopelovich. Zay will be a 7th grader at Islander Middle School. He enjoys baseball, skiing, and being with his friends. For his mitzvah project, Zay will be collecting and distributing baseball sports equipment to a local program working with under resourced communities.
MIRIAM WARSHAL
Miriam will become a bat mitzvah on November 13, 2021. Miriam is the daughter of Eli & Sheryl Warshal and the sister of Daniel. She is the granddaughter of Owen (z”l) & Ann Singer, and Dennis & Diane Warshal. Miriam will be a 7th grader at Mercer International Middle School. She enjoys soccer, gymnastics, and baking. For her mitzvah project, Miriam will be volunteering with JFS doing home deliveries for their food bank.
DANIELLE WOLFE
Danielle will become a bat mitzvah on October 23, 2021. Danielle is the daughter of Ken & Gloria Wolfe and the sister of Brandon. She is the granddaughter of Doris & Bruce Abramson and Susan & Larry Wolfe. Danielle will be a 7th grader at Islander Middle School. She enjoys playing soccer, video gaming, and talking with friends. Danielle is still deciding on what she wants to do for her mitzvah project.
JONAH DUITCH
Jonah will become a bar mitzvah on November 20, 2021. Jonah is the son of Hayley & Jeremy Duitch and brother of Mia Duitch. He is the grandson of Marlene & Steve Burns and Esther Duitch & Marty Duitch (z”l). Jonah will be a 7th grader at Islander Middle School. He enjoys playing baseball and basketball and hanging out with friends and family. For his mitzvah project, Jonah will be making and delivering kindness cards for people with cancer at hospitals in memory of his grandpa Marty.
JOSEPH FENTON
Joseph will become a bar mitzvah on November 13, 2021. Joseph is the son of Garrett & Jessica Fenton and the brother of Noah & Myer. He is the grandson of Jani Goldberg and Norman & Esther Freedman. Joseph will be a 7th grader at Tillicum Middle School. He enjoys playing baseball, basketball, and flag football as well as playing piano. When he is not watching sports on TV, Joseph spends his time playing Xbox, screenwriting, and cuddling with his dog, Lily. For his mitzvah project, Joseph is organizing a food and supplies drive to support local homeless shelters.
JACK RUBENSTEIN
Jack will become a bar mitzvah on December 4, 2021. Jack is the son of Alexis & Grant Rubenstein and brother of Max & Leo. He is the grandson of Bruce & Tina Kahn and Gayle & Brian Rubenstein. He will be an 8th grader at Islander Middle School. His favorite activity is lacrosse. Jack is still deciding on what he wants to do for his mitzvah project.
