Luxury resort brand The Loren comes to Turtle Cove – doors open in 2026
‘Inspired by the sea, designed for elegant modern living’ a statement that encapsulates the underconstruction project by Christies International Real Estate ‘The Loren at Turtle Cove’.
The resort broke ground last Thursday, June 15, with Christies International Real Estate managing the project on the ground. Founding partner and director Robert Greenwood brought the multi-million-dollar eco-friendly luxury development to the agency.

Joining Greenwood, the Governor and Premier for the milestone groundbreaking were Walter Gardiner Jr., Director and Broker at Christies International Real Estate; development partner Arik Kisli and Tom McCosker, representative of the Loren Hotel. Offering the benefits of luxury living for those with refined sensibilities – the low-density, mixed-use, resort development will consist of a five-storey condo hotel, luxury villas, spa, a restaurant surrounded by ocean views to a state-of-the-art fitness center, and effortless access to a private marina in the picturesque area of Turtle Cove, Providenciales.
Turks and Caicos Islands joins Austin, Texas and Bermuda as the third location for the luxurious Loren hotels.
McCosker said Thursday’s ground-breaking was a milestone, saying the Group is thrilled to be in Turtle Cove.
He shared a bit of the resort’s history: “Our story started about 20 years ago which is how long we’ve been working together in one capacity or another. After so many years of partnerships where we had many successes and persevered through market turmoils, we knew we would build a small but mighty team and wanted to leverage our existing collective expertise to do something truly amazing, and that’s when The Loren Hotel was launched.”
The first resort was constructed in Bermuda in 2017, and according to McCosker they are quite particular about the locations upon which to build.
“We didn’t want to maximise the number of villas and condos, we wanted to optimize … the property. We didn't want the restaurant to simply be an amenity of the hotel, we wanted it to be the heart and soul of the property and community, and that is what we set out to do in Bermuda when we launched The Loren.
“This model turned out to be more successful than we could have imagined, and it was in this same vein that we expanded to Austin when we opened our second hotel in 2022 and to our third property here, The Loren at Turtle Cove.”
The Hotel Group has partnered with a number of other local companies to get construction up and running, as the project takes shape.
Acting Governor, Her Excellency Anya Williams, who joined the Premier and the developers in ceremoniously turning the sod, noted: “The Turks and Caicos Islands continues to attract significant investments that will not only attract additional visitors to our shores, but will also help to boost our economy by providing additional job and business opportunities for our people.”
She added: “We look forward for this development coming to fruition, to the investment that is being made, and from what we’ve seen it is a beautiful property.
“We look forward to the job opportunities that it is going to provide and even more so, we look forward to persons being able to come to the TCI to enjoy our true natural beauty that sits right behind here as we continue to build brand Turks and Caicos.”
The Governor also wished the developers, contractors, brokers and all others involved in the Loren at Turtle Cove success as they work towards the official opening in 2026.
Bringing remarks at the ceremony, Premier, Hon. Charles Washington Misick emphasised the importance of balancing development interests with social synergy and triple-bottom sustainability: the environment, economy, and people.
“I have had the opportunity to meet some of the directors and the movers and shakers behind the project, and the government, based on its investment policy, has extended the standard concessions to this development.
“We look forward to continuing to work with you to bring it to fruition, and also to the end of the journey when the ribbon will be cut, and it will be open.”
Construction of The Loren at Turtle Cove is set to begin immediately, and the resort is expected to welcome guests in 2026.
Minister of Tourism Hon Josephine Connolly, and Minister of Infrastructure Hon Jamell Robinson also joined the Governor and Premier at the sunset ceremony.
