PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
A. Scott MacKnight, CEO/President As we move into a new phase with the pandemic and our economy, it is essential Triangle Credit Union continues to move forward with strategies to serve our members. We strive to process member transactions in a friendly, accurate and efficient manner. Whether those transactions take place in our branches, at a drive-thru window, or online, we know our service doesn’t stop there. For instance, Triangle’s Commercial Services team processed a significant number of Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans throughout the pandemic and was recognized by the US Small Business Administration (SBA) as a top lender during this crucial time. We truly believe, “we are in the business to help your business.” Triangle is also enhancing your membership through wealth building. Triangle Financial Group (TFG) has been diligent in their delivery of valuable, educational webinars that include Organizing Your Financial Junk Drawer, Estate & Retirement Planning, Understanding Social Security, and Medicare Made Clear. Most recently, TFG offered a webinar on how to grow your wealth and net worth through annuities. More and more members are taking advantage of the financial planning products and services that TFG offers, and we are excited to report that TFG has increased their provider group to meet our membership’s demand; for example, Eric Cooper joined the team to work with Triangle business members and Paola Gutierrez was hired to assist our Spanish-speaking members navigate their financial journeys. Whether you’re a consumer or business member (or both) at Triangle, we value and appreciate your commitment to the credit union and we are honored to be your financial service provider. BI-ANNUAL VERIFICATION As part of the duties and responsibilities of the Supervisory Committee of Triangle Credit Union, we must conduct a verification of accounts with the Credit Union's records at least once every two years. The purpose of the verification is to detect errors, and it is a good control to prevent fraud. The Supervisory Committee has selected this month to conduct its verification.
