Message From Our President
It’s hard to believe we’re halfway through the year! With so much happening, I want to provide an overview of updates and changes Triangle has made so far in 2024.
First, there have been many improvements over the past six months, including new Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) at our Candia Road and Derry branches. Thank you to all involved in this project and to all at the branches who served our members during construction.
While we have been making improvements on the outside, our team has also introduced many new services for online and mobile banking, including a new online loan payment portal (TCUGO LOAN PAY), push notifications through mobile banking (TCUGO CONNECT), and a personal financial goal-oriented tool (GOAL BUILDER). These additions are designed to make your banking experience more convenient and efficient, and we’re excited to see how they enhance your financial journey with us.

For our business members, we have integrated several new products, such as Business Online Banking, Business Multi-Check Remote Deposit, and Autobooks, all designed to enhance the business member experience.
We recently introduced a bi-monthly member email, Triangle Tuesday. This communication highlights our community connection and many financial literacy initiatives through our podcast (Making Money Personal), YouTube channel, and blog at TCU University. If you haven’t checked out triangleuniversity.org, I encourage you to take advantage of the resources there.
Triangle’s Mortgage Lending team has been very busy leading First-Time Homebuyer seminars (both in English and Spanish). You may see them at our branches as they conduct meet-and-greets to educate our members on our mortgage lending services and affordable home-buying solutions, like our 40-year term mortgage.
Triangle’s Consumer Lending team continues to collaborate with local dealerships to offer competitive auto rates. For members with vehicle loans at other lenders, check out our competitive rates to refinance your high-interest vehicle loan for a lower rate and lower payment. Our refinance options are for all vehicles, including boats, campers, RVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles! So, check out our rates and compare – a refinance might save you some money.

In Flying And In Finance, Put Your Mask On First
Summer travel season is here, and many are saying 2024 is the year when global tourism fully rebounds to pre-pandemic levels.
That’s why the Forbes article “In Flying And In Finance, Put Your Mask On First” resonated with me this week. Like the flight safety instructions on using an oxygen mask, it’s vital above all else to secure your own financial future before assisting others. You may be faced with some tough financial choices this time of year beyond where to spend your summer vacation. Questions like: Should you borrow from your 401K when the next emergency happens? What’s the optimal way to pay for your family’s educational aspirations? How much would it really cost to retire abroad?
