President’s Message

A. Scott MacKnight, CEO/President I trust your summer flew by as quickly as mine did. It’s hard to imagine the leaves will be changing color shortly and our days much cooler. As we approach this new season, there are a couple of changes at Triangle as well. First, we are adding to our fleet of Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), which will replace the traditional ATMs at our Franklin Street and Amherst Street branches. Construction on these projects started in early September and we anticipate having both locations completed by the end of October. Second, we continue to enhance our products and services to make our member experience better. As such, we are in the testing phase for a new online banking platform for our business members. Within this portal, our commercial members will be able to pay bills, view recent transactions, transfer funds between accounts like the previous platform, but with additional capabilities for those businesses that need ACH, wires, and access to multiple tax IDs under a single login. We are excited about this new platform and hope our business members find it easier and more convenient. I would be remiss if I did not mention our current promotion, Our Bundle is Better. Essentially, we have taken our top products and created a convenient bundle for both new members and existing members. Good news is good news again. For the past year, economically speaking, good news often quickly turned to bad news. A strong job market and consumer spending fueled rapid-rise inflation, which set off alarm bells for the Fed, which in turn ratcheted up interest rates to stem inflation’s tide.
